I don't know if anyone else noticed, but empty room studios put out another paper mini set. I wasn't too thrilled with the last one, but this new set looks great! www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?cPath=4830&products_id=60975It's a very Cthuluhish looking set. Theres only about 6 figs in it (8 if you count the trees) but 3 of them are huge, and stand about as high as Jim's Iron Golem's smockstack. They are in the front/back style.

Actually they look really nice - trees and all. This might be a buy for me.

I thought the set looks great as well when they released it. I hope they release a bunch of figures for the Cthulhu mythos. The more people putting out quality figures the better. JIM

Yep, they are using my bases, or at least my base design ,I'm not sure. I do hope they can release more stuff like this. JIM

Just glued up these guys with Jim's Golems last night - They all look very nice and dark. Will trim them up in the next 12 hours or so and get some shots mixed up with Jim's work.
I do hope that another set of these Horrors are on their agenda.

It's funny, they undersell one of the really nice features in this set; the line "1 Customizable 7"x7" grass tile." is actually talking about a layered pdf with 3 different summoning circles, a pentagram, dead tree, pile of bodies, 2 pools, piles of bones, stump, bushes, tree-tops, the ability to have the 1" grid either over or under the terrain elements or off, and the ability to turn off the grass background completely. All the features are really nicely done, oh, and there's some monsters and stone monoliths too. $4.50 is quite the bargain price.

Picked up and printed myself. The creatures are well detailed in a hand done painterly way. Very organic, very nice. I was thinking of how nice these would look stuck in the WWG:HilltopEncounter set facing off against the hapless Onemonk Dungeon Adventures set... surrounded by Hinterlands wilderness and the Hilltop portal off in the distance. I hadn't a chance to mention about that grass tile to you SD... I knew you'd find it particularly interesting in light of current scenario discussions. Oh the fountains are nice too. They subtley hint at a bottom through the pool. good stuff. Too bad the runs/circles weren't centered. Though it wouldn't be much to print, cut up and rearrange a few.
I have their Wizards Keep tile set... it is quite good.
