The theme for this month's HOARD is Welcome to the Dungeon This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of May, 2017. Dungeon Denizens, Terrifying Traps, Tremendous Treasure and all the stuff that makes dungeon crawling great. Have fun

»Welcome to the Dungeon«… wait, wasn't that a Guns'n'Roses song in the late 80's?!??

Well, I'd like to create something, but in less than 2 weeks, we have RPC (RolePlay Convention) here in Germany, which is – aside from SPIEL in October – THE RPG main event in Germany. And since I'm writing for a German tabletop gaming magazine AND support the detective game »Private Eye« with 3 4-hour-sessions of investigation galore… Aside from that, I will have to meet various people for future translation jobs, and to keep my business contacts up and running. So, I'm very sorry, but I'll have to prepare for all this, and it'll leave me with no time at all to create or mod something new. All "new" things I post this month are essentially just the finishing touches of projects already in the pipeline…

Hmmm, I might have to do something myself, but nothing really popped out and said 'You have to make me'. I'm not sure what I'd want to do

Hmmm, I might have to do something myself, but nothing really popped out and said 'You have to make me'. I'm not sure what I'd want to do How about an orc chef? With his own restaurant "Chez Dunjon"? You could also have goblin waiters, a vampire maitre de, and other personnel and patrons...

I wish I was skilled like you guys in making minis. Anyway, I'd love to see paper minis made of dungeon monsters that AFAIK no one has made yet, like an Otyugh.

There is an Otyugh in Hoard #5, and Monktaraz had a 3d version, but I'm not sure it is still available

Thanks for the head's up Vermin King! I know I had seen the one in the Forum Hoard before but forgot about that one. I just searched for the 3D one you mentioned and the file is no longer available. Not sure I'm up for making a 3D version anyway. Still, a new or alternate version of the Otyugh (maybe a more 5E-looking one) would still be welcomed

I made some big old portcullises... portculli... portcullisis? Big old doors. 4 in wide portcullis (single)3 in wide portcullis (2x)I made these with a fold-up method I'd seen other people do that I thought was really good for doors, but not many folks have made huge dungeon doors beyond 2" wide. Let me know if there are any issues and I can make adjustments. I can also do it with a white background in the spaces between the bars do that all those little openings can be cut out... is it better as-is with black?

nullpointer - hope you don't mind if I tweak the layout a bit when I get around to making PDFs for the hoard. Specifically, I'll be trying to lay them out to be friendly for cutfiles. Thank you for the submission! If you'd like, I can try to make simple and complex cutfiles that either cut out the spaces between the bars, or not, depending on whether you want to spend 20 seconds or 20 minutes edging the piece.

I'm glad this is getting some momentum. I was really drawing a blank for an idea. I did download a few images of stalactites and stalagmites and other cave features, but hadn't proceeded with them

yes, but i not decidet if put color orange, green or another color skin. It has to be orange... an ugly orange with an ugly yellow-grey tribble on it's head...

I'm working up an Orc with a treasure chest after I was inspired by this bit of dialogue;

Pre-dialogue or mid-dialogue, not post-dialogue, I hope

There is NO dungeon without a proper loot... so here'e some treasure chest! You can resize/cut/remove or replace foundations etc. according your needs or scale... Enjoy - Mesper/PERMES

Thank you for the submission! If you'd like, I can try to make simple and complex cutfiles that either cut out the spaces between the bars, or not, depending on whether you want to spend 20 seconds or 20 minutes edging the piece. Honestly the only thing I was really trying to hit was the correct image scale for an 8x10 document size so that if printed at 100% then the doors would be correctly sized at 3" and 4" wide respectively... you can do whatever you need with layout to get it to work better. I can send PDFs that have separate outlines if that would be helpful. Also it occurs to me that you could just have two cutfiles for the same document -- one version leaves the black in, and one cuts it out.

nullpointer - yes - I'd just be making two cutfiles for the one image.
