So things didn't go well. Retooling and a relaunch in the future will be forthcoming.

If you've got a strong stomach and want to see the true depths of the insane hatred of Palladium Books, peruse the 2,500+ comments made on the project since Monday. A group of backers from the Robotech RPG Tactics kickstarter made it their goal to destroy this kickstarter, some of whom are now on that projects comments section gloating.

A pair of figures in the gaming community many many years ago started to spread some lies about Kev after infringing on his copyrights and being warned to cease and desist by Kev's lawyer. The lies spread and grew, suggesting that fans with websites were also being sued.
Then a string of disgruntled freelancers who'd each done one project and gotten angry that Kev cleaned up their crappy scripts to make the books saleable started telling tales of how terrible he is to work for. Haters grew somewhat in numbers and exponentially in volume (I'd imagine physically as well as audibly).
Palladium almost collapsed due to a long time employee embezzling obscene amounts of money, product and Kev's personal belongings; If someone outside the US did an order, he would process it and pack the order, then sell it on eBay, then when they complained he'd pocket their refund.
Fans rallied and bought like crazy to save the day, but the trolls painted a picture of Kev lying about the crisis to swindle the fans, and have continued on that line in one form or another for over 11 years.
When Robotech RPG Tactics kickstarter happened, Palladium partnered with Ninja Division, who lived up to their name when they took their cut of the money and disappeared without contributing their part of the project. As a result Palladium has been struggling for four years to make enough money to pick up the pieces and get Wave 2 manufactured and distributed. The trolls grew in numbers from this and paint the picture of Kev driving around in an expensive care and living in a mansion on their money, when in reality he works 12+ hours a day 7 days a week just to keep the lights on.
Kevin Siembieda is the kind of guy who won't hesitate to give you the shirt off his back, he of all people doesn't deserve the kind of smear campaign these evil S.O.B.s have been running. And Carmen Bellaire is just a great a guy.
