Ok, here's the final version of the fish pattern.  This model reminds me of the ship in the video for Cartoon Heroes from the Danish pop group Aqua (better known in the states for the novelty hit, "Barbie Girl"). When I saw that video, about 15 years ago, I instantly knew there was campy, pulpy campaign in it. I put in some work on a Hero System campaign based on the video's look and attitude--a little VSF, a little Flash Gordon meets George Reeves meets Adam West, with some giant Japanese monsters and Mars Attacks stirred in. Sort of a technicolor, 1950s spin on League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...or something...it seemed cool at the time, but the group never coalesced, and the campaign never got off the ground. No clue what happened to the notes, but I still think there's a wacky, fun campaign in there somewhere... |
