These plastic stands were included in European releases of Dungeon Twister expansions. Anyone know where to purchase the stand themselves? I've tried Spiel Pro, but they offer a transparent stand that is not of the same design as these. Thanks for any leads!

See this topic elsewhere on the CWF. Not all the links are still viable (the topic dates from 2012), but there are enough to hopefully let you source some - or at least give pointers for other places to try.

Not sure if this helps, but those sure look like the bases that Pasophilo includes with his pre-printed cardstock minis.

I truly did search for the forums before posting, but didn't find that result. That em4miniatures link has the very same stands I'm looking for, but apparently the site reads 'catalog suspended'. But those are the same ones I'm looking!

I like Pasophilo's artwork. Thanks jeffgeorge!I noticed that at least one set of 5 figures--the Bogmen, or something like that--was on sale for $4.99, down from $8.99. Even if you didn't like those particular figures, you could buy a few sets on sale, which would make the bases about $1 each. You should also check out the Litko acrylic bases at Amazon. They work very well for most of the cardstock minis we make around here, and are much cheaper, at about $12 for 25 bases. Because they are flat and clear, they are virtually invisible on the table, regardless of the surface texture you put them on, and they don't have the vertical holder tabs that the Pasophilo-style bases have, which I find very distracting. I love Pasophilo's artwork too, but I really, really wish he's release his sets as printable PDFs. As physical products costing almost $2 per figure at regular price, they just don't compete with the value offered by many equally talented artists whose work is available through DriveThruRPG and/or Patreon.

But those are the same ones I'm looking!Yeah, em4 have been having website problems for a while. You can still order from them by sending an e-mail, and they'll forward you a PayPal invoice - see the notes on their homepage. I last ordered from them about four months ago (the online system was still working then though), and that arrived with no unusual delay. Alternatively, the online system may be back running again in a while, as this isn't the first time this has happened, as far as I'm aware.

You can get them here: www.spielematerial.de/en/plastic-bases.html100 stands cost 8 Euros plus shipping. I bought at least 300 of them over the last few years... However, shipping to the US would be 36 Euros for up to 5 kg of stuff. So, to make this worthwile (just the bases would be a total of 44 Euros for 100 bases, that's .44 Euros per base), I would suggest you buy other stuff, too. Spielmaterial.de specializes in everything you'll need to create your own board and card games: figures, dice, chips, coins, stands, empty cards, empty boards, boxes, you name it... They also have extra material for famous games like Catan or Al'Hambra. So, should your game be missing some pieces, this is where to buy replacements. Over the last years, I've become a regular customer, though I have to admit that living in Germany very much reduces the shipping costs. In fact, I usually order shortly before the beginning of October with the option to collect my stuff at their booth at SPIEL in Essen, thus reducing the shipping costs to ZERO.

Very interested in these. I have, however, seen a youtube video that says that these bases (or some that look very similar, do you have an address or link to where you got them?) do not hold paper figures. The gap in the base is supposedly too wide, and meant for cardboard only?

It is so-o-o-o easy to glue a bit of paper or card or folded card or paper or tape to the bottom of a fig to make it fit snugly in a base. Whoever complains about something like that complains too much. (IMO) Yes, I omitted the "H" on purpose.

The gap in the base is supposedly too wide, and meant for cardboard only? I use no other stands for my paper minis. I print on 200 g/m² paper, making the minis 400 g/m², once the back is folded over. If you want to use regular 80 g/m² printing (typewriter) paper, just glue the print onto a second sheet of 80 g/m² paper, fold the back over, and you'll get a 320 g/m² mini. This will fit snug into the stands...

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I've been looking for similar bases and came across this guy in Arizona that sells similar bases. I haven't ordered from him yet, but thought that it would be worthwhile to post here for posterity. spielpro.com/card-stands/

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I've been looking for similar bases and came across this guy in Arizona that sells similar bases. I haven't ordered from him yet, but thought that it would be worthwhile to post here for posterity. spielpro.com/card-stands/Not a bad idea. I think it's good to keep this sort of thread updated. I had been looking for card stands again - the last lot I got, the supplier didn't do black, which is what I need now. Spiel Pro are in the US, which is OK for US based, but for European based folk, the shipping is quite expensive. 100 stands would have cost USD 7,00 with USD 14,00 shipping. Board Games Extras in UK have some stands: 35 mm round, 18 x 10 mm oval, and 19 x 17 mm rectangular. Shipping to the EUR is about GBP 1,50. Link: www.bgextras.co.uk/card-stands-s6.htmBlank Dice, also in the UK do round 20 mm stands in different colours, for GBP 0,07 / EUR 0,09 each and shipping to Europe at GBP 3,50 / EUR 4,67. Link: www.blankdice.co.uk/Board_game_accessories/23/ - I just tried to buy from this place, but the payment is through PayPal and it kept insisting that I create a PayPal account, which I don't want. I have just sent them a message asking how to pay without having to have a PayPal account. EM4Miniatures have packs of 20x 20 mm round card stands for GBP 1,20. Shipping to the EU was just over GBP 5,00 - so 100 stands would be about GBP 12,00. Again, it seems you can only pay through PayPal. PayPal should let you just pay securely with your card as normal, even if you don't have a PayPal account. If you do a lot of online card payments, a PayPal account is certainly worth considering, but you do need to read the terms and conditions carefully to make sure things like the fees for currency conversions, for example, are no worse than your card provider would charge. Shipping - and especially import fees - can be cripplingly expensive regardless.

PayPal should let you just pay securely with your card as normal, even if you don't have a PayPal account. Yeah, I know it is normally like that, but sometimes there just doesn't seem to be the option, or rather it isn't obvious.

It's been a while since I paid attention to the non-account options, but from memory, I think the merchant (i.e. the website you're trying to buy from) should offer you the option of paying without a PayPal account at the Checkout stage. It looks as if the link you've been given goes only to the standard PayPal login portal. However, looking at the T&C page on the Blank Dice site, they don't give ANY information on how you'll be able to pay, which seems at best misleading and unhelpful. Was there more information during the Checkout process?

For continental Europeans: Spielmaterial.de still offers these and other stands. The links should be the same as those I posted above...

Okay, I wanted to update everyone that I did place an order for 25mm clear stands from the Spielpro guy that I mentioned above for US orders. The first package never seemed to leave the post office, however when I reached out to him he was very polite and got everything sorted out for me very quickly. The slots are a little thicker than I would like (would probably be better for cardboard counters) but I think I can make them work.
I will try to post a picture when I have the chance.
