I don't know if you looked at any of his other work, but he has a number of figures at 1/50. Should be buildable at 1/56 or so. At one point I had considered collecting his figures from the various projects and building them slightly smaller, but the appeal has worn off at this point

...and it's times like this that I realize just how insufficient my design and building skills are.

Everyone I know that has built any of his stuff says that they have immaculate fit and were a joy to build.
They scare me and intrigue me at the same time

We've lost a skilled engineer. I can't get to his webpage so maybe it's already gone. A lot of the Wayback Machine links are unproductive but I find I have a few of his models on hand, if the present sources are lost; the trawler "Tver" (MModels 2) whose assembly also looks well above my pay grade; the two Gaz vehicles (ГАЗ-М1, ГАЗ-М415); the fictitious but interesting "Behemoth" KV-6 (КВ-6); and his collection of early Russian tanks (Первотанки); and too many of his armoured cars, guns, dioramas and military vehicles to list in a quick post. That's quite a few models, but if there was a decently respectful way to keep them in circulation without violating intellectual property rights, then they aren't lost. It would be good if anyone had contact with the author's family and they allowed redistribution. EDIT: Retried the Wayback Machine links and the bad ones seem to work now. Still, there are many of his works not listed there.
