Here are renders of the final product. She stands just over three inches high and represents a development of the Soviet one man lander. Apparently Alzheimers is setting in ebcause I've forgotten how to actually submit the pages.

It does look like fun. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Only one thing and it is nit-picky. Assuming these helmets are like old deep sea diver helmets, the collar would be a level circle for the helmet to seal. No notch at the back. But who would notice? It should be smooth without the V shape, and since the collar goes lower in front, the roundness should be slightly upward in the back.

Makes sense. I will round that up. Made a start on the Femme. Apparently she is not in the original story but got added 'cause: Hollywood. BTW I abandoned the Cavsphere because it was going to be too fiddly (for me) at the smaller scale, which is why I ended up concentrating on these figs. I hope you don't mind Toman!

Here are new versions of the lander. There were some design things I didn't like, and they bothered me all night. I also added some visual cues to help the modeler orient pieces correctly. Attachments:

I don't mind. other home projects got in my way. plus mine wouldn't have turned out as nice as yours. I don't have any practice in doing backs yet.

Here is where I am at. Not sure I will do the other versions with helmets etc. I can't find images I want to work with. BTW check out my latest ink saving innovation: leave a white line between the front and back tab. Zero ink used! Anyone who thinks I don't honour my Scots heritage can kiss me under the back of my kilt!

The little moon-shack is done. I am REALLY liking this one... happily simple. Once I weather it to match my terrain, it will fit right into my games of Warhamster 40,000.

I should at least do a helmeted version of Bedford. I would really like a different body to put the second helmet on. I will see how the next few days go. BTW, There is some marketing I can appreciate.

cowboyleland : Don't know if it helps, but I found this French version of the movie poster that has a clearer view of Bedford in helmet, jumping. It's not exactly a different body, but is a different pose at least. For Cavor, I suspect you'd have to adapt from movie stills, as none of the poster art shows him in a full, useful, standing posture, unfortunately. You can find a larger version of the poster here, should that help.

Okay, I'll won't find time to do the entire Lunar Modular Transport, so – since it's modular – I will reduce the ship to its smallest version and do the Moon Hopper (consisting of the cockpit, airlock, and drive module). I'll start on monday. Wish me luck, I get the thing done till wednesday...

I am not crazy about the pose and changing that would require actual drawing. I'm actually fighting a (thankfully mild) case of the shingles so I am finding the thought of a serious re-draw quite daunting. Could happen, but no promises.

Yeah, the jazz hands pose isn't all that good, but the movie poster options are astoundingly limited otherwise, sadly. And as if chickenpox wasn't bad enough the first time round... Better health, regardless. And if things don't work out this month, there's always December's Procrastinators' Hoard

The MLH, the Modular Lunar Hopper, is coming around bit by bit. I just finished putting the three modules necessary (cockpit, airlock, and drive module) onto the standard hoard cutting area sheet. The hopper comes to a total of 12 pages of parts, plus 2 pages with instructions and 1 cover. So, the hopper will be 15 pages all in all. I'll print and build the hopper tomorrow, taking photos along the way. Instructions on wednesday, as well as uploading the stuff here.

I had made a start, but I've been distracted by painting my Warhamster 40,000 Nurgle-y goodness and doing actual gaming. Sorry about that. Maybe by December's Hoard...
