As you can see, I haven't based them yet, but here is my first attempt at 15 mm--the golem I didn't shrink 50% because its supposed to be more like a giant for the build I'm going for. Any suggestions/tips from those who've already taken the half-scale plunge?

Looking great! Welcome to the 15mm side. That's a nice idea to keep the Bone Golem full size. He'll stand out even more. Your cutting and edging is very clean. The only suggestion I have relates to scaling, like you're already doing with the Bone Golem. I have started printing heroes, unit champions, and other special characters at slightly larger scale. That helps differentiate them from the rank and file. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Luckyjoe

Looking good, Mojo! Nice idea, Joe, but I think how good it looks would depend on what troops you're using. I think with more monstrous ones, boosting the size of the ones in charge helps them stand out as those that can bully their way to the top. With the likes of humans and elves, though, it would probably just make them stand out as unnatural freaks.

These looks good, even that small. Too bad all my props and such are made for the 25-30mm range.

Actually, all mine are too.
A buddy of mine is wanting to try out the new LotR rules and asked me to build a small force of minis and we'd just assign them to one of the the armies. He had already started working in 15mm scale, doing his own artwork (which is awesome). He asked if I'd mind trying my hand at 15mm to match his, and here I am doing just that.
So far, I like it. However, I'll have to work in some 15mm terrain as well. I haven't picked up WWG Hinderlands set yet, but I think that is where I'll start.
One of these days. ;D

Nice job!
And welcome to the 15mm side of the force!
I was a hard convert, but once I started and noticed two things:
1. Quality of the image wasn't sacrificed
2, ALL the space I saved!
I was hooked.
I've been slowly re-building all of my paper props in 15mm which really hasn't been all that bad as I can fit a lot more on a page now...
Looking forward to more pics!
