The theme for this month's HOARD is Procrastinators Hoard This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of December, 2018. I'm heading to the Land of No Internet for the long weekend, so rather than put this off, I'm early. Not really in the spirit of the hoard, is it? Have a project that has been put on hold? Have a project that you have been meaning to do? This is the Hoard for you! And you and you and you ...

I have so many...it's hard to choose...this is usually my favorite Horde as it serves as a mental "shelf clearing" of many little projects that have been on my mind for some time.

I am working two jobs now, one of which is retail. And as this is peak season for retail, the time I do have for modelling is frequently spent lying naked on the floor mumbling "I hate clothes."
I don't anticipate much creative content from myself until after the new year.

I am in a show! That and family coming home, I don't know if I will make anything, but I may get a chance to go through the old projects and see what needs just one more push.

I could fill this hoard up with various projects, however, some of them would scratch hard on copyright infringement (like for example my Chantry for a Dragon Age RPG game that has full interior but still needs a removable roof; I used a lot of DA artbook art for that), while others are either so multi-parted (Lunar Modular Transport) or detailed (Star Trek TOS and ENT bridge in small and as seen on TV) that they can hardly be done till the end of the month, no matter where they are in their production process. The downside of all this is that right now I'm in the middle of a large translation project again, once more RPG related. And I need to finish a boardgame for my wife's nephew whose birthday is in the middle of the month. I still need to build almost all the parts, design stickers for 2d6, write up the rules, and invent 66 riddles that result in 4 digit numbers... So, no rest for the revived, and no major hoard addition from me this month. I'll perhaps re-skin some already done Trek rooms/corridors for ENT era, but don't count on it...

Thanks, because I'm working on Mediterranean, North African, Middle-eastern skin tones. Those turned out a little darker than what I was aiming for. There was a conceptual error on my part. Sorry. I immediately thought of inhabitants of Greece. But they could also be slaves. Not easy but possible. (in the age of the bronxo) The kings sacrificed their daughters. The sacrifice was often of noble origins ... And the skin tones were absolutely clearer. link 01link 02The darkening of the European population occurred later, with the great invasions and colonization of the southern territories of some countries ( above all Italy and Spain ) In the literature, Achilles was not a black man, sorry. In not-historical settings then everything is allowed.

With limited time remaining, I'm trying to decide which of the many stalled projects to do for the Hoard. I doubt I can finish up the Citizens Security Bank (those blasted back steps). I think there is still too much development work for the concept side of things on the Rathaus. There were a couple vehicles that were getting close, but I really don't remember where I am on them. Back in June for the Real Animals Hoard, I re-vamped the Bledine animals, but wanted to do Aurochs, Wisent and Primitive Horses. Since I don't have too much of a clue as to how much time I will have, I think figures may be the best way to go. Work on one at a time, and see how many I end up with at the end of the month. Since the Aurochs is known to have ranged across Europe and Asia, with subspecies in North America, India and North Africa, and with the last known Aurochs having been killed in 1627, I am going to start with them. Whether you are interested in Stonehenge, Roman conquest, the Dark Ages, or all the various bull-worshiping religions. I think that it deserves a place. If I get 3 to 5 of them done, I will proceed to the other animals. Since our domestic cattle have been selectively bred from these animals, are they really extinct? The Rewilding Europe project is attempting to selectively breed back into cattle the Aurochs traits. From DNA research, the Scottish Highland and Irish Kerry genetically are the closest to the Derbyshire Aurochs. Of course Spain has their breed that they consider closest to the Aurochs, as does Germany and various other nations follow suit. Science (much to its own chagrine) has never been cut-and-dried.

Always have your vaccinations up to date before visiting alien planets. Here are three Chimera Hybrid Terra Force troops, who wants to see them naked? I have one last unfinished project that I hope to complete before the end of the month; a "Hetzager" model.

I'm feeling a bit like Dr. Frankenstein. There are a couple projects working on back-breeding Aurochs traits into primitive cattles, to develop a proxy wild Aurochs-like bovine, TaurOs Project and Auerrind Project. From my research I thought the TaurOs Project was hitting closer to the mark by using genome info, where the Auerrind Project seemed to be merely breeding Heck cattle (the Nazi experiment) with primitive breeds to emphasize traits. Now they are working together. Hopefully, they WILL work together.
Why am I like Frankenstein? I collected quite a few images of TaurOs and Auerrind cattle. For the figures, I'm swapping out the legs from one image into a different image. I'm still looking for good back-of-head images. Right now I have two bulls, one cow and a calf. I at least need another cow to give a little diversity, and maybe another bull. But swapping out body parts is quite entertaining

The Hoards are for anyone who wishes to contribute. And yes, if you'd like to help with the animals, I would appreciate it. Three jobs is taking its toll. I get so tired, I have a hard time getting anything creative done. Here's where I got to. My second cow has not made it to this sheet yet. If you can do anything with these, it will probably be the only way for these to be completed by the end of the month. Or you can throw in anything you feel like doing on your own
