Eww. Nice work, though. Welcome to the forums! I just had a look to see if I could fix your IMG tag problem. Looks like it's because you posted Picasa's 'direct link' in the tags rather than the URL of the image itself. If you right-click the image and hit either Properties or Open Image (which opens the image itself directly into your browser window without the rest of the web page), you can easily get at the image address to put in the tags. Like this: If you hit the 'Quote' button on my post you can see the address I copied in. Andy

And what do you mean by 'fix'?
If you're basically referring to increasing the thickness of the outline, I'd say the easiest way would be to create a new layer behind the existing image, delete all the whitespace around the picture, then on the layer behind, just roughly trace round the image with a fairly large black brush.
If that's not what you mean, then I'd still recommend it, as it gives you some leeway when you cut the figure out, just in case the fig's folded a little wonkily.

Welcome aboard!
Adding an outline solely depends on the software your using. I'm sure once you get the hang of it, making more figures will be fun. I know I have lots of sketches done today for about a hundred new parts for mutants. JIM

I'm mostly using gimp, but I'm using vcw for some of the effects. It's fun, but then again I like most types of "arts and crafts"

Depending on well you know gimp, select all the layers except the base tab, and copy to a layer in the background as two distinct shapes for the front and back. Then select the front and apply an outline, or grow the selection and fill with black. I use 4pt for the front and 7pt thicknesses for the rear, that translates into 17 pixels for the front outline and 30 pixels for the rear view at 300 dpi.
Hope this helps. I don't actually use gimp myself, but this is pretty basic image editing with any editor.
And get back to work on your novel... JIM

fun? ya right. well, it is a little. It started as a story about a girl whoose village had been kidnapped and it turned into a story about a fallen knight battling the darkness within himself. Has an impressive scene with Astroth trying to steal his soul. But ya, I will. For purely selfish reasons might do some army men or some heavy snipers or heavy assult troops or maybe some heavy scouts. I can do really awsome trees that I'll post sometime

Wow.
You've been busy!
One thing I'd like to see you lean toward is making sure your recolors and mods are 300dpi... this make s for a larger file size but much easier to work with and not to mention nicer on the eyes as well!
I love all of your stuff! Keep 'em coming.

Know a service where I can upload .tif's? I hate jpg's, can't handle most of the fancy stuff, and while gifs can, they degrade over time on the internet (no idea why).
So, you make the size bigger and force it on the after to be smaller? Hmm, that'll work out better anyway. I'd just have to manually change the image demensions without currupting the image...

Nah. I don't consider myself good enough with the minitures to undertake any serious posting of them. Honestly, this is just something I do to get the creative juices flowing on the creative writing. And honestly this is one of the most fruitful times I've had with ideas. This is my talent, I'll do a brief share Celes Clutched the gun in her blood soaked hand. She thought if she could just catch her breath for a second maybe the madness around her would stop. A moment ago all she could hear was the sound of her own heartbeat in her ears, now screams as she huddled behind the wall. Her heart wouldn't stop beating. Her hands had started to shack. She banged her hand on the wall, hard. A low vibration moved through the area, more felt then heard. She turned and looked just above the walls edge. There were 5 zombies moving towards her, several more looked in her direction. Um, that's it, I guess On reread, how rough, wow. Needs a few revisions. Hmm. Celes Clutched the gun in her blood soaked hand. Ok, clutched, lower case. My most common mistake. Um, I'd prob rewrite it second revision more like this.
Oh god, there's blood everywhere. I can't even see my gun in my hand there so much. I know it got me, I felt it bite me. God, what do I do? I gotta catch my breath, I gotta catch my breath then maybe I can think this through. Just breathe. They're still there, I can hear them shuffling around back there. I can't let it end this way. I can't. I banged on the wall behind me, hard. I wanted them to come this way, I had a gun, maybe I could do something if it wasn't too late. I turned and looked over the wall. 5 zombies were headed this way, a dozen more behind had looked over in this direction.Still needs more revision. I'll take a break and come back to it in a few minutes (c) Samuel Plahetka, 2009

Although, on a few hours of thought, maybe if I could get a few minuture sets in good quality together, maybe something onemonk would be intrested in marketing, and something I could use as a tie in to the various stories I release (such as a vampire, a female german gothic assassin, a royal knight, a half elf-half wood nymph oracle, Isamu, the orphen who has just begun training to be a royal knight, the king, the death jester, the werewolf, a few gypsies, male and female, a few goblins, male, gypsy, invasion green and invasion blood red, kings personal guard(s), the dhampir anti-hero, the witch, (that's about 20, wow) Hmm, 3 sets, 2 released in unision to the two parts of tears of blood, with the bulk of the material in these two. A third, released when the next story in that arc is released will contain the few new ones from above I reserved for this release, a few recolors, and a few figures from the new story, Thrall, the ex assassin who is on a death vengence against nearly everyone in this book, Isamu fresh from his ordered mastery of the vampire quest, Celes, an ex general for the enemy forces who turned good, and the girl with amnesia.
Ambitious? Ya, and I'm gonna need some help, please.
