Knock-knock. "Who is it?" "Land-shark." "Go away!"
Knock-knock. "Who is it?" "...Flowers?" "Oh, come right on in-Aaaaaaaa!!!"
I love that Tiger Shark mutant. ;D

Very nice. I like most everyone from this set. It is a shame to sacrifice the OneMonk cutting style, but I suppose that can be remedied easily enough (highlight, expand, fill, etc...).

The gorilla looks good colored, you don't need to worry. The rest of the figures are amazing as well! Such neat ideas tucked here and there on these designs.

Yea, I did a cool little coloring thing with the hazard suit version where the face looks behind glass. I'll be using this method for some cool pulp space ranger types with glass bubble suits, but just for fun, and to see if the coloring method works for clear-ish look glass. JIM

The figures for the game are designed with a simple outline cut, so they can build them fast. There a LOT of figures to make for the game, like 30+ figures, and you don't want to have to trim to the line on all of those, although some of you will be nuts enough to do that... JIM

I imagine they are still play testing it. The last I heard it needed some critical fine tuning so the play was as intense as possible ,and the game is challenging to beat.
Your best bet is the Ganesha games website, or yahoo group for news about this, I just did the figures. JIM

Dear all, Paper Make iT ! is pleased and proud to announce the availability of Armageddon Hour BUY NOW As you already know, Armageddon Hour is a solo boardgame that pits your character, the mutant hunter Frazer, against a horde of mutants. You have a gun, limited ammo and one hour of time to storm a mutant hideout and kill the mutant boss before he sets off a bomb. You play with a stopwatch or a chess timer, and have exactly one hour of real time to finish the game. If you don’t complete your mission in time, the bomb explodes and you lose! The pdf edition includes a rulebook (color and inksaving versions), paper figures, 27 equipment cards, 9 skill cards, 9 profile cards, 1 profile sheet and 6 flooplans. Just print them out, cut them out and add dice! You’ll need at least 4 six-sided (regular) dice to play this game, and a watch. Rules by Ganesha Games, floorplans by Paper Make IT !, and paper miniatures by One Monk. Floorplans can be edited and modified by Shuffler (not included): source smp files are here included to expand and enhance your experience and increase the longevity of Armageddon Hour. Best Regards, Claudio Pieroni Paper Make iT !

I've read that this is a "watermarked PDF". Does that prevent me from opening things up under Gimp so that I can make my own robo-cutter outlines for the figures? I don't think it does, but I want to make sure before I drop any money on it.
Looks interesting.
Thanks, --ex

I've got no idea if you can or not. You might try the Ganesha Games forum and ask there. I think the watermark is just a text line with your customer info only, but like i said, I'm not exactly sure. JIM

Thanks Jim. My comment was more directed at the 'papermakeit' user, however. I'll see about following up on the GG forumd.

Hi ex,
on papermakeit.com no one product has ever watermarked, and no disclaim is present about this matter.
Generally, watermarked pdfs contain only the name of the customer so to know who shared firstly a pirated file.
It doesn't prevent to raster it with Gimp anyway.

Purchased my copy from wargamedownloads.com. No DRM or Watermarking. Everything is cool. Purchased, Printed, Played. Played my very first game last night and... KABOOOOM! Lost due to hitting the time limit. Ugh! A few notes: - For variety, I modded things before printing. I used GIMP to change the hue-contrast of the Wretched, Cacti, Plants, and Robots. I also flipped some of the character facings. - I didn't like the coloring of the Mutant Gorilla. I changed his orangish-fleshy tone colors to grey -- similar to the Apes in AT-43. - Looks like I need to print off a few more plants and other characters. It turns out that when you roll to populate a level with monsters, some of the rolls resulted in needing more than I had on hand. To compensate, I just used rats which I had plenty of. I *LOVE* being able to mod things. Woot. Game play is similar to Song of Blades and Heroes (and, I guess, Mutants and Death Ray Guns, but I haven't played that). There are some variations, but otherwise it's the same kind of light and fun gameplay. --ex

Awesome. I have my gameboards mounted on foamcore and covered with an adhesive laminate so they are now super pretty and durable. My figures are printed out and I just finished my gsd files for them so I can get them cut and built soon.

Pretty much every game from 2HourWargames can be played solo. Most of the games ( All Things Zombie, Warrior Heroes, Friday Night Fights) have campaign rules, which you can play solo, and advance your charecters as well. 2HrWargames also offers Chain Reaction 3.0 for free. Chain Reaction is the core gaming system most of their games is based on. It's fully playable as is, and has free supplements. I own 2HrWargames' All Things Zombie, Warrior Heroes, Colonial Adventrues, and Dead Heat. All of them can be played solo, but Dead Heat is a Zombie Racing game so it's not all that much fun racing against yourself Next week ALL THINGS HORRORwill come out. Think "your in the agaency" like the company in the HEROES TV series, but your dealing with creatures like on the SUPERNATURAL TV series. [/quote] A little bit of thread necromancy, as I was surfing the interweebs this overnight: 2HrWargames's website, quoted above, is now defunct, as its successor: www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/index.html defunct store.twohourwargames.com defunct You can now check out 2HrWargames at the following sites: Current Forum CURRENT Current Blog Current Blog RPGNowCoincidentally they released Chain Reaction 3.1 yesterday...and Free! As for the original topic, Armageddon Hour is currently available to buy at the following places in PDF form, including rules by Ganesha, tiles by PaperMakeIT, and minis by OneMonk's own Jim Hartman: Ganesha Games for $12.00USD RPGNow for $14.99USD Saber's Edge $8.00USD or $8.99CDN?

I've been looking at Song of Fur & Buttons and Song of Blades & Heroes again lately, and I'm going to pick at least one during WGV's Summer Campaign sale whenever that starts (sometime in the next couple of weeks, judging by previous years). I may pick up Armageddon Hour at some point, but neither my 8 year old nor I are its target audience

I like the idea of a board game like that you can play solo. I have something in the works that would bring that sort of thing to a fantasy setting. The solo rules are really based upon coming up with a reasonable A.I. System for the 'bad guys". I've run many a game like that with dungeon tiles and scatter dice. It worked out very well.
