I like the idea of a board game like that you can play solo. I have something in the works that would bring that sort of thing to a fantasy setting. The solo rules are really based upon coming up with a reasonable A.I. System for the 'bad guys". I've run many a game like that with dungeon tiles and scatter dice. It worked out very well. I'll be looking forward to that. Solo gaming is very much where I'm at for the foreseeable future.

Yes, Parduz "decent" actually means "1. conforming with generally accepted standards of respectable or moral behavior." but in common parlance (tending towards slang) it is an understated way of saying "pretty good." old squirmydad probably uses it here because he was involved in the production of the game and does not want to be accused of praising his own work. Can you tell that both my parents were school teachers?

When I was a kid we would sometimes shout "De-cent!" the way people use "Awesome" now. I don't know how wide spread that was.

linkNice timing for this subject to re-surface. Has anyone figured out how to actually get the Chain Reaction 3.1? All I got was an email with two links, neither of which were helpful. If you know anyone over there, you might suggest that they put it on RPGNow or something. I certainly would not consider a purchase since they can't deliver. Oh, well.

Actually Ed from THW emailed me the file. They seem to have a few folks that have experienced the issue I had.
Was very helpful.

I apologize for having revived this old topic. But I need a little help ( well ... let's say two little help actually ) After, or better together, in my obsession with zombie outbreak (related in games, paper minis ...) now was also born my strong interest in post-apocalypse setting. So ... 1 - Does anyone know if the paper miniatures that are in " Armageddon Hour" by Ganesha Games (and One Monk Miniatures, Paper Make IT!) are the same as "Apocalyptic" series by OneMonk ? 2 - I'm trying to reorder my "Mad Max" paper miniatures. Onemonk "Apocalyptic" series, "Armageddon Outta Here" Set One by Okumarts, old FOW paper minis ... and then? 3 - anyone knows Mutant Epoch RPG? Currently I use PEG "Deadlands: Hell on Earth Reloaded" ( and Ganesha Games'Mutants and Death Ray Guns for skirmish ) but Mutant Epoch old style graphics ( it is very reminiscent of old Rogue Trader ) and Outland Arts quality intrigue me more and more. 4 - Is there any other suggestion about paper minis, rules, models ...?

4 - Is there any other suggestion about paper minis, rules, models ...? If you don't mind his more cartoony/'big-head' style, Tim of Printable Pawns does a set of Survivors of the Fallout and has just added some Mutant Animals. Plus don't forget there are many post-apoc minis among the Forum Hoards. Rules-wise, Goblinoid Game - the producer of the Labyrinth Lord retro-clone - also do an OSR post-apoc game called Mutant Future (which is also available in a 'no-art' version for free if you want to just check it out). Not tried it out myself but the mechanics will of course, be familiar to anyone who has played any D&D in the past.
