Hello, my Name is Olaf. I'm from Germany (Europe). Mainly I'm a model maker not a tabletop gamer. Indeed I'am bad in tactics or strategy. But I do like building things and this since my childhood (40+ years). Mostly plastic kits but also RC-models. In 2005 I began making tabletop terrain. Simple hills made out of wood and styrofoam. And since 2012 I design my own papercraft models and offer them on wargamevaultI came her searching for inspiration for new ideas to realize in paper. ;-) Olaf Welkommen, Olaf! Welcome to the forums. We hope you will be able to find a great deal of inspiration here. If not, just ask if there would be anyone wanting a specific model type made and you might be overwhelmed by the response!! Please take a look around and see what the others have done for the papercrafting community in general. Are there any specific genres that you are more adept in? Personally, I can't draw a stick figure with a ruler and a compass, but I enjoy the creation of paper projects more than playing most of the time. If you have any questions, someone is usually here to answer them, or at least point you in the correct direction of the answer. Welcome again, and make yourself at home.

Hello, Members. I am a Japanese miniature gamer, who stepped into world of papercraft terrains three years ago. I really thank all the contributors at the forum for their great work and tips for paper modeling. Here is my recent project. I am working on a small outpost for my 5 years old son's Clone Trooper and/or Space Marines (those from Macragge Box) As I introduced papercraft terrains to my gaming, in order to cope with shortage of storage and budget (urban areas in Japan are known for their high housing prices), I modified Ebble's Module:: Core with separate floor laminated with cardboard and square corner pillars. It allows the whole walls fold flat for easier storage. I would improve the look with addition of low parapet walls around the roof.

Hi! I'm Thomas, a long-term geek and roleplayer. I'm starting to get into papercraft to give me something gaming related to do with my hands now that my Call of Cthulhu campaign is over and I'm no longer making paper props to lead investigators into horrible death.

Hello,
For many years I have been lurking the... cesspool of the internet, searching for the interesting paper models (amongst other things).
One monk had a beautiful gallery (some materials are still around on his old site). I did a conversion of the wizard for one of the hoards, but life got in the way and I never sent it. His works expanded my interest of things paper-ish from vehicles and buildings to people as well.
I was sad when he had to close down the shop, as well as many other model makers in following years. It was around that time that I got a whiff of this forum.
Aside from his works I was happy to see pictures of toposolidario's models and the Ebbles miniatures. And tommy gun, and many others.
Most of the time I did not assemble the models, it was usual as for most other people, think about making them, plan, and than the life gets in the way.
I was one of the people who purchased the Ebbles collection dvd (or was it cd?). Sadly, I never assembled models from it (aside from the 4x4 GPV I downloaded). Thus I had shrink-wrapped thing of beauty and... some member of the household managed to misplace it. I did not find it to this day.
Few days ago I decided to see what fate befell the Ebbles miniatures, last I knew (from years ago) they were closing down. The link from genetmodels.com brought me back here.
I am happy that Mel Ebbles (Christopher Roe) is back to doing paper models with his new drawing pad, and that he made available archive of part of his older works (otherwise I would not have accesses to them, until I get my hands on that cloaking drive equipped disk... drats).
Of my own design, most things were made for layered production, no textures of similar things. Often they were not even printed, but drawn the old fashioned way. And a lot of modifications of other people's work. Almost no surviving examples are with me to this day, they got damaged or ended up as gifts.
In the future, from time to time, I plan to lurk around here, maybe make a local backup of miniatures that catch my eye. If stars realign I might assemble a paper construct somebody else designed, or god forbid, make a modifications to some. And if the rest of the forum members are really unlucky, I might even decide to... shudders... post them.

Hello my name is Mike Newbanks and I cant remember if i have already introduced myself on this forum or not, but it won't hurt to reintroduce myself anyway. I'm the creator of Michael Newbanks Games on Wargames Vault and have a number of paper minis on sale there. I was originally inspired by the art of many of the creators on this forum and the vast array of paper armies on the Junior General site. I still love the plastic and metal minis but after the hassle of dropping a box of hand painted minis and watching there little spears break off or having the cat or my son get hold of my time consumingly constructed models ive got to say, its liberating to toss two or more entire armies into a small box (weighing nothing) and set off to play a game. Now when I buy a new rules set, I'm on my laptop making minis for it in no time.
