Hey Squirmy! How's tricks?
Yes...Lord just is too hard to type plus at the end of the day the People love it when you refer to yourself just as you... Until they take it too far and you have them drawn and quarter - just as a reminder
You are doing a great job here. The talent has and is improving year by year, and there were some pretty impressive artists when Jim kick this off.

Hi all, I'm David and i have been playing RPGs since "Chainmail" came out in the 70's. Have just recently gotten back into crafting terrain pieces for the games. Here is a tent i made buy modifying DM Scotty's Orc tent

Welcome, David. Beware of kitbashing...it's that downward spiral to obsession and madness, but neither has never been more fun, eh?

Hi everyone!
I'm a university math instructor that has dabbled in papercraft off and on for a few years. I guess I've technically been doing it forever because I always loved doing nets when I taught geometry, but gaming-wise I've done some of my own RPG characters by hand and built some Mech Attack stuff. Found this site through Mike Upchurch's Cardstock Warriors.

Welcome to the forum. I remember back to 6th/7th grade (in the school district I attended, when there really weren't enough students to warrant four classrooms, they took the top students from two grades and threw them together). We did quite a few 3D cones, etc. And in the History portions, we made a lot of paper models of our own design (and they looked it). I could see having a few high-tech models in the classroom to open discussions.
Which games do you play?

Thanks!
I dabble back and forth between skirmish wargaming (mostly 15mm and smaller) and hex-and-counter games. Sadly most people around me care for neither, so I've been trying to find things to specifically interest my 6-year old son and my wife. We have had a few very entertaining games of Mech Attack, and while they leave the building to me, both of them enjoy coloring in the blank mechs.

Hi! I'm new here, though I've been lurking for about a year. I got started with paper modelling by making a few warmaster armies using Junior General figures. Now I'm printing and building a collection of 15mm figs and terrain for SOBH and D&D. I wish I could draw, but I'm way too rusty. Fantastic artists in here!

Hey Everyone! I'm back! Sorry to have been gone for so long, but it's been kind of a rough couple of years, health, friendships, finances, etc... But I'm back, and I hope to be able to stick around for a while.
Geez! I've missed you guys a lot!
I am starting a new campaign, this time using 13th Age. I am really loving this format. It is D&Dish, yet very different, as well. My players will be my two teenage grandkids (a fighter & a rogue), my husband (the wizard Boris), and maybe my step-daughter and her husband (characters yet to be revealed).
Looking for others who have played 13th Age, hoping to open up a discussion regarding this game.

Hey, folks. I started playing wargames in the late 70s, and D&D with the original white box. I worked and played in the RPG field clear through the 1980s (long story, but not all that interesting...), but left in the 90s to pursue other careers. I was away from gaming (except online) for over 20 years, but tripped over DriveThruRPG.com as well as a local game shop a few months ago, and found my interest rekindled.
Haven't had much chance to actually play, but I've been printing and finishing paper minis almost every evening for many weeks now. I tell my wife it's theraputic, like how some men tie fishing flies. Marshall at the Printable Heroes encouraged me to join this forum and get into the discussion--I'd been skimming some of the threads already. In any case, I'm working on a set of printable modular dungeon tiles (who isn't?) that I hope has some innovative qualities--I'll be ready to post some photos soon, and I'm working toward a finished PDF of a "starter set" or at least a beta/playtest version that I can share. I've got some Scribus questions that I'll pose in the appropriate threads.
I look forward to being a part of this community, picking all your brains, and marveling at more of your amazing creations!

Welcome to the forum. I'm rather envious of those who still have groups to play RPG's on a regular basis.
Take a good look around. I think you will find many treasures here

Welcome jeffgeorge! I'm pretty new here too and have been back into D&D (this time with 5e) since last Nov. Been making paper craft since Feb. I'm impressed with folks who go right to the designing of paper craft. I have no idea how to do that stuff. I just build things for my own D&D campaign (my group alternates between 3-4 DMs--so I'm a player too. Really helps to prevent DM burnout).

Rotating DM's does seem to help. When I was playing regularly, Paul did half the DMing, Lynn and I split the other half. I generally did Out and About's. Lynn did mostly urban scenarios.
Actually, right now, I'm not sure when I'd have time to play ... not until after the first of the year

Thanks for the warm welcome. My goal of posting some photos was delayed by rain, which stopped me from finishing the spray finish on the figures and tiles for the pics. Hopefully I'll be able to post something by Wednesday. Thanks for the encouragement, everyone!

Welcome, jeffgeorge. I usually try to be on the front of the welcome wagon, but I am hiding from real life with my parents at my childhood home, and I am just not replying as much as I usually do lol! I hope you enjoy your stay with us. I am reasonably new here myself, nut this is a great bunch of paper modellers who checked their egos at the door

Hello jeffgeorge and welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing your pics. Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing them, too! Had a good day today, actually--a couple of light over-coats of glossy clear-coat saved 20+ of my dungeon tiles that got foggy when I sprayed them with matte clear-coat. I'll be clear-coating (with the glossy, now that I know what I like!) the rest of the tiles in the base set tomorrow, along with another hundred or so minis. (The tiles are my design; the characters and mobs are from Okumarts and Printable Heroes, mostly.) So hopefully, we'll have pics in about 48 hours or so. I also hope to have a pdf of my tile set available within the next couple of days for willing beta-builders to try out and tell me everything I've done wrong. With a lot of guidance from the experts here at Cardboard Warriors, I've finally overcome the technical hurdles to let me produce a functional, multi-layered pdf, so I'm out of excuses... Edit, 9/22: Finally got a pic of my tile set in action posted to the forum, so you guys can finally get some idea of what I've been working on.

Hello, my Name is Olaf. I'm from Germany (Europe). Mainly I'm a model maker not a tabletop gamer. Indeed I'am bad in tactics or strategy. But I do like building things and this since my childhood (40+ years). Mostly plastic kits but also RC-models. In 2005 I began making tabletop terrain. Simple hills made out of wood and styrofoam. And since 2012 I design my own papercraft models and offer them on wargamevaultI came here searching for inspiration for new ideas to realize in paper. ;-) Olaf
