One of our friends launched a Kickstarter project for his 3D Virtual Tabletop program about a month ago. We support him with 20 maps and soon with 22 Ground Sets (over 600 tiles) but as you will see there are many other great add-ons and pledges, too: Please take a look on it here: kck.st/14h469Lor visit the project page: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/Only a few days left to take the program with extras for a great price. Thanks!

This looks very cool, I wonder how hard it would be to add in One Monk minis as virtual pieces. Thanks for the link.

I'm the developer of 3D Virtual Tabletop, where can you get the One Monk minis from these days? The One Monk website seems to not be around any more.

Your Kickstarter is a great way to promote papercraft figures, etc. to a whole new audience, so we are extra happy to have you on board. Squirmydad (as Mayhem in Paper) took over One Monk this summer ( link), and is in the process of cleaning up & re-issuing all the One Monk sets for sale on OneBookshelf ( RPGNow, DriveThruRPG). He's taken the One Monk website down for transfer of ownership and re-organization until further notice ( link), when it'll be switched from storefront to promotion and resources like our Cardboard Warriors monthly hoard/horde. At least, that's my understanding ;D

Thanks Anne, that is correct. I'm a backer now and I'll start plugging in my stuff when it's finished. What format do image files need to be in to plug into the program?

Thanks Anne, that is correct. I'm a backer now and I'll start plugging in my stuff when it's finished. What format do image files need to be in to plug into the program? It can import .jpg and .png image files for the minis. It'll reduce the images down to at least 512x512 for display on screen, primarily because the iPad, iPhone and Android devices don't have that much graphics memory to go around especially when you're displaying lots of different minis on the map. If you want to talk about offering them as part of the default set or in the in-app marketplace, the format for that is 512x512px with the base placed underneath the middle 300px. The format's designed so you can take a graphic for a 300dpi paper miniature and use it directly, without having to resize. The larger 512x512 area is to allow for bits of the miniature sticking out beyond the base or up above.

This is a great idea... very impressive. Does it allow for the use of images with different fronts/backs?

It looks like One Monk Miniatures will be a part of this.

I'm in!
Now that a few of my Kickstarter rewards have started rolling in, I'm breaking my fast, and went for it... and couldn't resist the Lord ZseZse ground tile set add-on, once they offered PDFs.
Gaming budget for the month officially blown!

Thank you BSGTony (lordzsezse) I purchased the basic version of this from Amazon, and then increased my pledge amount after playing with it for a while. It looks like they've hit all of their goals and this app has great fun potential. Like I said before, One Monk Miniatures will be participating in the Marketplace and I'm in the process of modding the free sets to work in the app. I think it'd be great if more paper mini makers submitted their work to this marketplace once it's open for business.

Like I said before, One Monk Miniatures will be participating in the Marketplace and I'm in the process of modding the free sets to work in the app. I think it'd be great if more paper mini makers submitted their work to this marketplace once it's open for business. This is what prompted me to back this, after eyeing it since the Kickstarter first went live. Having One Monk minis available, and the hope for more Cardboard Warriors. I'm no longer playing computer games, save Cardhunter recently, and that I signed on for the paper mini/map semblance. This is 10x better than Cardhunter! Now I will be able to play with my real paper mini favourites, with my son, and with my friends near and far, all from my iPad, and without having to cut or edge a single one! Truthfully, it won't stop me from playing with the real thing, but it instead opens up many possibilities... I hope and believe it will encourage new people to try paper minis once they become aware of them, and increase the support for the artists & producers Also, once they see the superior crafting of the One Monk-led style (i.e. _true_ minis with quality front & back art!), hopefully other mini producers will up their game

For those who already have the demo program, or people who just need some doors, some Classic One Monk Miniatures Labyrinth doors- Labyrinth DoorsTwo sizes, both in the 512x512 framework, the png2 files were saved with transparent backgrounds which in my version comes through as black, which may be look good for a wall around the door.

Love the previews for this, and the idea. Adding Lord ZseZse & the One Monk stuff to it is just icing to the cake. I'm fortunate to have a good group close by, but this definitely looks like the app to get if you want something like this.
