Lightning strikes? This sounds juicy. Come on squirmydad, give up the goods, or I'll get out the feathers and me and the girls will get you!

Looks like there is a blade on the right one, too, if you look closely. It's just his position and that wicked kick!

An Elven/Dwarven collaboration on a cannon...Yes! I think that would work and possibly suggest your next project: A Dwarven stronghold...neighbors to the Elves, living in treaty with them for the common good. Can't help it, I'm and idealist. After that, gotta have an Orcish fort or encampment or some such. I'll keep you busy all by myself!

I love these! They have a certain elegance to them you don't usually see in mini's.

For an elven cannon, I had imagined something with a longish barrel and lots of filigree texture (picture a long, tapering barrel, made of a shiny metal - mithral, adamantium? But it must be elegant). Just as elves are known for their proficiency with long bows, this would be a long range cannon that would work with magical assistance (no need for a wick and gun powder) and would lob magic missile like spells over extreme distances (perhaps an elf mage mini to go with?). An orc cannon would, on the other hand, be a much cruder, yet still deadly efficient, construct. Just idle thoughts, from an idling (addled?) brain.

Looks great! @ things, only, I see:
1) Show something in each of the textures you offer, including the new nature texture.
2) You have illustrated boxes showing what comes with elfling, warrior and lord levels, but not king or god. It would be nice (and would probably garner more support) if those two levels were illustrated as much as possible, even if only with just a list and some sketches, which would be updated as needed. Gives us something to wet our imaginations.
Other than that, it's looking good!
BTW: Have you thought of offering elven and orcish cannons for bonuses? And siege towers, perhaps? Another thought for bonuses: Trees, rivers and tall bridges a'la Rivendale?
I wish you all the luck in the world!
PS: I am planning to back you at the king level, or more if I can.

Thanks, I put it together just to prove a point. I know that here I am "preaching to the choir" as cowboyleland says, but I wanted the good folks over at DM's Craft to see another possibility.

Thanks cowboyleland, I didn't scroll down the page far enough to see the right name when I was looking for the artist of the dragon. As far as the half-orc, maybe I wasn't claesr enough, I attributed him to Off-Beat Orcs, Jim Hartman or old squirmydad. As far as old squirmydad, One Monk and Jim Hartman - well, I still get all that confused. So thanks again. About the blurry picture, as I said, it was taken on a cell phone from a difficult angle. But I kept it in because it is the only picture I have that gave a general overview. Why did I post this? Well, there is a discussion here on DM"s Craft about miniatures and I tried to post pics there, but their system is different and I was having trouble, so I thought I'd make a link back here. I figured that once folks got over here they might take a look around and... I hope that was alright.

Hi guys! I just set up this scene to show the playability of paper mini's to folks who have never used or seen them in "action" before. I threw this together in just a few minutes. Giving credit where credit is due, the artists and or companies responsible for the items shown are: Dryw the Harper - Imperfect People and Monters, Sirrobo01 - Snowy trees, Snowy Tundra ground tiles and Red Backed Spider, Brave Adventurer's - Dwarf Cannon and Crew, Off Beat Orc - Tall Half-Orc with Great Axe, Jim Hartman (AKA: squirmydad) - High Elf Tower, Dragnoz - Lothorien Guard Towers, Paizo - Castle wall, Towers, Cottages, and Mausoleum, Sundered Skies - Red Dragon, Kev's Lounge - Gelatinous Cube. I know I have omitted some and for that I apologize, as I don't remember the sources for everything. So, if you see something and recognize the work, please add the credit for me. OK. To the battle! The premise is this: The castle has bee attacked and decimated by the enemy (a troop of frost giants, bugbears and other assorted nasties being controlled by the combined efforts of a red dragon, a storm mage and a Yuan-ti abomination battle mage. They have killed all the soldiers and kidnapped some of the outlying townships citizens (two children in the iron cage on top of the good tower) and two women (standing in front of the frost giant on that same tower. This is the situation our heroes find upon returning from another adventure. Quickly, Boris the wizard (with his faithful familiar, Cecil the psuedodragon) climbs up the Lothorien Guard towers to better assess the situation, while below, Pandak the cleric duels with the necromancer in the ruined mausoleum, Layla the rouge sneeks up and takes out an orc. Caisaadi the druid (NPC) and Layla's older sister, fights with the giant red spider. Horroar the barbarian and Yarr the dwarf position themselves to take on the gelatinous cube, a bugbear and a frost giant. Still the battle looks hopeless, when, just in the nick of time, a group of local dwarves show up with a cannon to help turn the tide. Boris says to the dwarves below him, "You fire the cannon balls and I will magically guide them to cause the enemy the most damage!" Layla sees her opportunity to sneak up to the tower and rescue the women and children. But can she make it? And where is Tymo the ranger? I hope this puts across my point. Please forgive the quality of the pictures, they were taken with a cell phone and from weird angles. Also, imagine, if you will, how good this scene would look on a homemade 2.5D tile such as you would find at the DM's Craft.

Once again, I'll do your editing, just make sure to send me all your stuff! Also, I think that a game set up that is compatible with something like Pathfinder would find a really wide market. What's your opinion, squirmydad?

"Mulemulein" - stubborn, thick-head, 'mulish'. Also, unpredictable, dangerous. I have no idea if that is a real word (haven't looked it up), but judging by content and context, I think the above could the meaning. I think if he is a hero, a special armor may be required. In D&DOnline, my character acquired a magical armor that was supple like leather, though as iron, shiny gun metal blue in sunlight and dull, shadowy black in the dark or dim light. It also gave me a +5 to AC. Something like this may work for him, what do you think? migibb, you are right about the scarf conveying a certain "lurkiness" but, I also like friendly/sinister skeleton grin...so, I'm torn.

Yeah, that's it! The proportions look good. What if you had him holding his knife up a bit, pointing toward hiss left shoulder? He would seem more...ready, I think.
Can't wait to see his color scheme.
