Nice job Luckyjoe!
Those 30mm Kobolds are a great set!
Now for a challenge, try them at 15mm!

Hey Aestelon!
That's the method I've adopted as default now too. Looks very good and holds up surprisingly well!
I'm looking forward to seeing some more F&T pics... I haven't been sold on most of the scenery yet (although I am looking forward to Glenn's Egyptian stuff!), but your pictures are beginning to sway me... darn you.

That's strange... because I use PSP to resize my PDF's with no problems... I just open up the PDF, it asks me what DPI I want, I say 300... a few seconds later I can manipulate the file... I resize at 50% (or 60% if it's a 28mm model) then save it as a no compression JPG. I then go into Print Layout, drag the resized JPG's I want onto the page, position them, then save that layout as a PDF. Then print. I'm downloading GIMP right now though, because I'm interested in the SPEED of the process... maybe GIMP will be faster and not such a memory hog... One can only hope In any case, I'm glad you got it working Luckyjoe! onemonkeybeau

Floyd!
I saw this too and am going to build one in the near future... as I was looking at it though I couldn't help but wonder what a Floyd re-color would look like...

Alright! Here he is... a few quick snapshots of this bad boy... this has to be one of my all-time favorite 2.5D models ever! Cthulhu modelHe went together with no problems at all! There were a few small tabs, but nothing that couldn't be solved with a pair of tweezers! I absolutely love the gentle sweep of the wings. I curved the tail and bent the tentacles a bit to add more depth (I'm not sure if you can tell in the pics...) The whole model is sturdy and ready for action! Enjoy! I'd really like to see if someone could use this concept and make a dragon... Next up, 15mm Dragonshire layout for SoBH skirmishes... I'll post pics as I finish the individual pieces. onemonkeybeau

I'm thinking of making 2.5D angel warriors (flat figures with separately attached wings) to battle the demons. Unfortunately I'm much better with animals and vehicles than humans and humanoids... This sounds very interesting! I've always wanted a cool set of Angelic Warriors to battle some minions of Hell! I'm picturing large sweeping wings, huge swords, shields, armor... cool! onemonkeybeau

If I remember right the program is called "Bible Battles".
It's a very cool program and a neat glimpse into how wars were fought "back in the day"!
I haven't seen the David and Goliath episode though... I'll have to track it down! Thanks for the head's up!

Hey guys! Thanks for the kind words! By the way, are you basing these the normal way? because that would seem fiddly. Or are you just using flat bases and gluing the feet to the top? I've completely switched over to flat basing now as described hereThey end up being quite strong and looking super cool too! What's the ground tile from? The ground tile is from Fat Dragon's Dragonshire: Blacksmith and Stable setI am going to guess that the bases are mounted on something as they seem thicker than just cardstock. Matte board? The figs are based on black art board. I've been searching for a cheap basing alternative to matteboard (which is SUPER expensive!). I finally found art board in Michaels' painting and drawing section for $4.00. It works great and... fits my budget! I'm using it for all my models and am even using it to base my tiles. onemonkeybeau

Hey guys! Just a few shots to show what I've been building the past day or so. I love 15mm so I decided to build the first onemonk model I ever built... smaller... and boy did it turn out nice (if I don't say so myself!) Here they are: I'm building the Cuthulu (<-never can spell that right!) model in 15mm next... should be fun! onemonkeybeau

WaffleM! This is has turned out to be a SWEET project! Like I've said before, you are fast becoming the 2.5D wizard around here. I have one question though, I'm not quite understanding the numbered base and how it works. I follow the removable risers as presented in your previous links, but it seems as the current model doesn't have removable risers? I think I'm missing something here... Just wondering... for my own sanity onemonkeybeau

I think the way to do it is to import the PDF into the paint program of your choice (in my case, Paint Shop Pro), bump the resolution up to 300DPI, then scale to 50%. I'm not sure though Is this correct? onemonkeybeau
