Thanks Kiladecus! Kind words, kind words... I intend to write up ALL my sets eventually and release them as free downloads. That way you could play a Shaolin Monk fighting Zombies or an alien invader battling cowboys. It's all part of the "plan".

"Why am I such a mis-fit..? Arrggg... must eat brains." Yeah, it works. Actually, My girls have that "Mall Madness" game. I am thinking it is Christmas Eve, and the shoppers are rushing around to get gifts, and they get more than they bargain for. Is it Christmas, or MALL-oween?!

Combining zombies and classic boardgames is a favourite in my house too. My daughter and I have played many games of Zombie Clue.

I read the rules tonight and "Katana School Girls etc." is NOT a "minigame." It is a very complete system that reads a bit like "Savage Song of Zombie Furries." So much value for (my sons) five bucks! After I read it I decided I'd make some bases before I head down to the print shop this week. I copied one of the squares from a game tile and bucket filled one of Jim's base pages. Hope you like. Edit: Forgot to mention that I changed the fold line codes and blackened the strips that fold under for Reivaj style bases. When I get the figs ready I'll post my quick and easy technique for converting "standard" figs to Reivaj bases. Attachments:

You did it again, Cowboy!
I used INKED ADVENTURES' bases on mine when I did the playtesting, but I have to admit, these are slick! Great job.
It not ONLY is a complete game, but who knows what the future holds with it?
Right now in HEROCLIX, you can pit Superman against Gandalf, and a squad of HALO troopers against the cast of Street Fighter! (If you don't follow the "Clix" games, Wizkids is incorporating ALL of their licensed characters into one GINORMOUS game, including all titles in one compatible system).
Who knows, maybe one day soon, the Federation may be exploring a planet inhabited by a race of Furry Zombies! ;D

Hey, just wondering for those who have played the free mini game from Katana Schoolgirls how were the size of the cards in play? I think they are ok, but I'm toying with making them bigger for the first Official mini game release coming up. I was thinking of making character and monster cards regular playing card size and talents, dark secrets, events, etc. half that size. Any input?

Sorry, I've read it over on screen, but I haven't been able to make going to the printshop a priority.

About cards size, my only request is to stay on widely used formats, for sleeving purposes. As example, FFG uses often "Magic:TG" size and his "tiny" size (Cave Troll use them, Middle Earth Quest have a mix of both). So everywhere in the world the right sleeves are available, even from different brands (FFG, MayDay, UltraPro).

Thinking about the next couple of Serene Fist sets... Tentatively I'm considering: Funky Fighters (1970s kung fu movie heroes and villains) Wu Xia (Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon style heroes and villains) anything else you need?

Both with the classic white headcowl or the badass-looking straw hat worn by komuso monks (the one looking like an overturned basket), and armed with the traditional naginata or tetsubo. Also, the ubiquitous ogre-looking oni.

Funky Fighters (1970s kung fu movie heroes and villains) This might be a good crossover product or thematic match with the SOB stuff. Serene Bother? ;D

And now, for my 1001 post . . . something useful for a change: cardboxess by cowboyleland, on Flickr They are tuck boxes in case that isn't clear. Cut on grey lines. I would suggest folding the smallest tabs (bottom ends) into the middle of the "sandwich" so they don't get crushed when you slide the cards in and out. Oh, and the truely rectangular sides should be outermost while the side with the slanted end is innermost. As Steve says, have fun.

'Twas I. At least I did some. They are on my post on this thread Jan 2 2012. I ended up clipping the corners off so I could put the figs down on an angle if I wanted. Here are some round ones that will probably work better. CIRCLE-25mm-Blank by cowboyleland, on Flickr
