Ok, here it is with Dave Okum's ninja (from Ninjas and Samurai set two), and my Claudius Dropship to show scale. It measures about 3 1/2" long and about 1 1/2" high. I would love to make two more and use them as a cavalry squad in ERA OF WAR!

Well, that is the "catch 22." Paper Make it! owns all licensing and copyrights to Shuffler, and all of images (every tile, every graphic, everything). Since I use these to make the models I design, he actually holds the copyrights. I have talked to him about possibly posting these files on his site and ANYONE that owns the Shuffler program could download them. This is just something that we have discussed briefly, but haven't really gotten down to brass tacks. IF we go this route, then the models would most likely be free downloads, but ONLY to people that would own Shuffler (which is like $15.00 USD, which is equivelent to about three models, and I have designed about 20 so far. So, if you purchased the program from him for the sole purpose of downloading my models, then it would be like paying less than $1.00 per model... Make sense So eventhough it would be free to get my models, you would still have to have the program to download them). This would be good, because it will boost his sales, and get my name out there. Some people ask why I use Shuffler and don't just make these models myself (like Squirmydad and Tommygun do... NOT that I am comparing my work to theirs, I am just saying they draw things up, and they are incredible). Well, have you ever seen the figures I do... I have compression issues, and the ones that come out "clean" are blurry or faded in appearence. My lines are jagged... I could go on and on... With this, I can see a model in my head and figure it out pretty easily. I sat down at 8:00 last night, with a blank workspace on Shuffler. At 8:30, I printed it out and by 9:00, I right after that I posted it here. I can make models almost as fast as I can download them. Thanks for your enthusiasm. I hope this makes sense.

It does seem like a no-brainer for Claudio to let you post your models, since people would need to buy his program to build them. Alternatively couldn't you import them to GIMP, trace the lines on a fresh layer and share the black and whites so that others could texture them on their own?
Just a thought, because there seems to be wide interest in your models.

Shuffler is too narrow then , as if adobe would not let me share my minis made in photoshop because I use textures that brings. I think that the models are yours

I suppose that if the SMP files from Shuffler include the textures inside them, then one would be redistributing those textures by sharing the files and the license does not allow that.
On the other hand, if someone owns Shuffler with the image import plugin and creates a picture using only their own textures, I would expect that they would own the copyright of that picture and thus be allowed to share it as they see fit.
This got me wondering if all paint/drawing programs have to include explicit terms stating that the copyright for work created with them is solely of the creator, not of the software developer.
My reasoning has always been based on an analogy to physical tools (i.e. the company that makes a brush or pencil does not have any rights over a work created with them) but on the other hand, I dislike physical/digital analogies as they can be misleading...

Well, these are good points, but I have a good relationship withClaudio, and I wouldn't do anything to harm our friendship. Besides, the more models I build, the more I develop my skills. I am pretty darn sure that one day these and more WILL be available. Until then, just enjoy watching my skills unfold. Once these do become available, you can look back and say, "I remember when he used Shuffler to make stuff."

This sleek fighter is as comfortable in or out of atmosphere. Being designed as a small close-in fighter, the designers removed the hyperjump drive to allow for a second seat, allowing a gunner to be seated behind the pilot. Althought the cockpit is cramped, the sensor arrays fill the wings allowing for the nose to house a front Class II shield generator. The nose holds two Rapid-Shot machine guns, and each wing holds a Frietag Industries laser cannon. The amount of ammunition for the machine guns is limited, so every shot counts.

The Wescott Industries 2900 turbine engines allow this marvel to rip through air at speeds exceeding Mach 7.

these posts were more entertaining than saying, "I added wings to my motorcycle and changed the front tire into an engine."

Well I haven't posted any models this week, so I guess I'm due! I am always trying to improve my models and push my skills to the limit. I have been wanting to increase angles and slopes building one off of another. This should give sleeker lines and make models les boxy. Here is my latest prototype... Mk II Ocelot Scout Vehicle.

A pretty complicated set of angles give this model an more professional look. I may convert this into a larger model by adding a cargo area in the back with a second set of tracks. It could easily be adapted into a train style vehicle, with "cars" being pulled behind it, or even transform it into a large artillery piece pulling a trailer with the largest weapon I have ever designed. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I think I would make the body wider over the tracks. From the views shown, I don't see a way to enter. It may be at the back. I like the way you are thinking that this could be the base to build other vehicles from.

Yes, there's a hatch on the back of the thing. I originally just wanted to see if the sloped I had planned worked. I also chaned the way I do my tracks. I think the components I was working to achieve were all successful. With little effort, this will become a turret for my one tank that I was working on. I have even considered having 4 of these track under a SUPER LARGE platform making it the centerpiece of the battle. Thinking of an oil rig on these tracked movers in the middle of a desert. That is part of my plans for my nomadic Jin'Dan Brotherhood army. They travel on a moving platform scaveging the desert for anything they can find. One scenario is they find something that someone want to take back... they go to this platform and the fight begins there. I am seeing an awesome battle taking place over this monstrous moving citadel! (Great vision, until my wife would see it and say, "Kiladecus! Where do you plan on keeping that thing?") Where was I...? Oh, yeah! I was planning another dropship, and I wanted to see if this sloping section would work. It DID!

I still think that your models deserves original, proper textures.
This is not to say that Shuffler textures are'nt good... au contraire, they're so awesome that can be used also as you're doing now....

I actually prefer the bike over the flyer. Even if you were to just post a BW of it without textures, I imagine that you could almost hold a recolor contest on it and have several takers. It would be outstanding.

Well, it is exciting that people show interest in my models. As far as selling them goes, it was just brought to my attention that I wasn't explaining it correctly. Please excuse me... English has only been my primary language for 41 years... it makes sense I might not be able to get my points accross! Seriously, to explain this correctly, the models I make are mine. My creations. My concepts and my ideas. The program I use belongs to PMI. That isn't the issue... it is the ARTWORK contained that is the concern. It would be like selling a book using someone else's artwork. The words would be yours, the ideas would be yours, and you could sell it. However, the artist would need to either give you his permission, or sue you. I could theoretically make "blank" copies of my models and draw the textures and sell them. I could do that. However, I like the textures that PMI have done, and that is part of the fun of it! That is what makes it fun in my opinion. Some of the examples listed above about Photoshop and so forth really are like apples to oranges. If you found something that was a Photoshop picture, and you tried to sell THAT, that is where the problem lies. I can't go further into it right now, but this who thread could become moot rather quickly. That is all I can say for now!
