Parduz- What you've done looks great. Its just your vision. Mine is as I drew it. Its totally cool. I'm a little surprised at the Clint-match. If you change enough, it'll almost be 2 different figures. I do see what you're talking about though.
Kiladecus- So what time is the neck tie party over to the Long Branch anyway? I'd shore hate ta miss out.
I want to draw but I'm soo full of turkey and pumpkin pie.... Must stay awake!!!

My old computer finally gave it up. I dunno if it was the processor or the video card or the hard drive, but it went "poof".
I've lost almost all my art. All I have left is what I had in my Dropbox.
This old machine my friends kindly gave me won't run GIMP until I get the service packs installed. Its actually a bit slower than the one I had. Oh well, at least its something to use. It had Windows 2000 on it. Wow. I have no idea how to use that. We happened to have an old XP disk, so now I have that at least.
Time to begin all the installation of programs and such. Its funny how used to a particular computer a person can get. This one feels so alien.
Updates will continue, but at what pace I cannot say. I'm thinking of buying myself a lightbox and goin "old school" on it ...

If the disk is not broken you should be able to get all your files back. And even if it is broken but semi-alive you may be lucky and recover most of them (depending on what broke.... i had great success using WinHex and letting it "copy" from one dying disk to a new one for about 40 hours).

Well the new system won't read the drive. Not as a master or a slave. It just goes in to a boot loop. My friend is attempting to get the data off it but... we'll see.

I had the same thing happen. The looping thing was a virus. I took the hard drive out and stuck it in a hard drive dock (used for gaming) connected to my laptop. The laptop saw it as a regular storage drive, and I was able to run an antivirus and a registry repair (glarys registry repair) on it. Put it back in the computer and it worked fine (and I didn't lose any files). Just don't forget to back up your files from that point on.

Good luck with the computer. I was hoping that Lee Van Cleef could have some hombres to ride with ...

Thanks VK and thank all y'all for the advice. These two just happened to be in my dropbox, so I finished them and here ya go.... I modified these as Parduz had posted. So they are "corrected" now. I think they look lots better. The dude has an awesome eye. dl.dropbox.com/u/13307512/CharlieRow%26IrishTommy.png

When did 10 become the standard?

I actually think with the older ones and these you could make a very respectable pdf. I usually think of 8 as a set. Dave evidently thinks it should be 10. The new guys are great. Thanks

Thanks VK. The older ones are about to be re-colored. I like this style way better. Easier too.

Are the heads squashed a bit in the image you posted? I think that happened before to someone.

no... I didn't notice any squashing. Or, at least doesn't look squashed to me. I dunno...

Are the heads squashed a bit in the image you posted? I think that happened before to someone. I thought the same at my first sight, but i did'nt said nothing 'cause i did'nt really checked. Now that you also mentioned it i've done a fast experiment. The actual image is 1001px wide: i stretched it to 700px, and put the last figure at a side for reference. I think it look better.....

That looks more natural to me. Do other people see a difference? Could this have something to do with screen or browser settings?

That looks more natural to me. Do other people see a difference? Could this have something to do with screen or browser settings? No, it's the image that is that way. I don't want to sound .... rude (i don't have the right word), as i'm just "analizing" this picture from my point of view, but given the usual RevGunn talent and mastering of proportions, i think this could be the result of an accidental "non-scaled" resize while working.

Wow, looks lots better that way. These were from older line art. That could be the issue I dunno. I gotta re-size that one base too. I made the 2 newer ones bases bigger because of the first one being too small.

I first thought it was a stretch/skew issue just in the posted pic, but at least it's fixed now. These guys are superb, and will go well with the undertaker, piano player and salloon gals to complete this set.
Oops, there goes that wishful thinking again

No offense taken Kiladecus. I was just wondering if the standard had changed.
VK look on my blog. Does the piano player need a piano as well? or..??
I've been working a little on some Yucca plants and Mesquite and Cedar tress.

Just went to the site in your signature. Interesting, but I think I need to go back during leisure time to check it out more.
I don't think a piano is really necessary, because there are a lot of them available on the net. Probably the easiest to locate is the free one from White Wash City. Although I have seen some very interesting ones on some of the ephemera sites.
I wish I could remember where I found this organ I'm intending to build for a pastor friend of mine. I believe that in many communities pre-1900 that churches should have organs, while saloons and parlours should be the home for pianos.

Of course, there were also organs in the brothels, be we don't need to model them Good fix Parduz. Great looking figs RevGunn!

Thanks Cowboy. Ummm... yeah. I just got a really strange mental picture. I think its best not to model those.
I keep thinking of a gunfight in a brothel though... with participants trying to get their britches on to join the fight. I dunno. Probably not.
Work is proceeding at a slow pace on further figures. I've gotta get some consistency in certain things. I'll be back.

You added the blog to your sig!
The quasi-historical theme of this game really has me intrigued. Mesilla is sort of in the middle of a diamond shape on the map of some extraordinary things in that period. I'll definitely be following this.

I was really amazed when I started researching. All kinds of adventure ideas there. From 1871 to 1876 most of the County Records from Dona Ana are missing. I thought that was too convenient. The other upside is that I've been to the area many many times. I've loaded cattle a few miles from where I put the fictitious town of Brimstone. I've told my players they need to update the Adventure Log. Hell, I even offered Experience Points per post. We'll see how it works. Here's Lottie. She works at Madam Kate's Place. WIP

... Wonderful figure. No other words. I think that this figure represents the true spirit of a real situation/time of the wild west and all the figures above deserve a commercial set.

Thank you Rhannon. That may be in the works, we'll see how it goes. Kiladecus- I know man. I just can't help myself. Women in thin clothes who's job it is to look sexy and get men to spend money,... will have nips. When I draw some more "proper ladies" of the day, I promise you, nary a nip will be seen. Redneck's honor, I swear. The eye now... to tell the truth, I kinda messed up there. I was one of those deals where no matter what I did to correct it, it looked worse than what I had. So, I hit UNDO and posted it. I'll fix it. Now for the BS Game-master answer. Those ladies were beat up with alarming regularity. Both customers and the people they worked for had a tendency to be abusive. Historically, the people of the Frontier consumed 20% more alcohol than ANY OTHER TIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY. Which brought us Temperance, and then Prohibition. If you work in a place that is pretty much a venue for a drunken brawl... yep, you might get hit. But, thanks for the encouraging words. I do appreciate them when you have something to say. This board has amazing Quality Control personnel on staff. Thanks for that. Parduz dropped some pretty heavy compliments on me a few posts up. I didn't know what to say. I was almost embarrassed. I hope to one day be as good as he thinks I am. I do want to clarify one point though. As soon as I post these figures, for free, here or on my blog, and you download them, they are yours. You can do whatever you want. Modify, re-color, stage re-enactments of Brokeback Mountain with Nazi Zombies... whatever you want. Just don't.. you know, say you drew them. Y'all ain't the type to do that though. I'd love to see any modifications or re-colors. Even if I don't like them, it doesn't matter. Everyone has a right to their vision. If you choose to flatter me enough to do that, please let me see what you've done. Please. And don't take offense to me speaking my mind, as I don't take offense to anyone else speaking their mind about my work. BTW, there does exist a "Barbary Coast" version of Lottie, and her Saloon Girl sisters. I WILL NOT post those here. If you want them, you gotta PM or email me.

You know if it was me, and I could draw something as good as this except for one eye, I would take the cowards way out, and put in one more lock of hair to cover the eye all together. Yep, cowardly, (but practical) that's me.
