You know, I only build stuff for D&D 4e, but this model makes me want to build tech. Very nice.

I already built fairies for my daughter, she's not getting a pink tank for fire support.

this is the first model i have ever made.. so please be kind . I'm still working on it, where there should but tab's, measurements etc etc, as I'm still in the learning curve of modeling. so, this my hovercrafts I made while a had some time on my hands while at work. I first started with a one peace craft but thought it looked to small. this is my 2nd attempt. with a separated skirt and cockpit next I'm going to try using photo shop to make it into a flat adding colour etc etc... Looks a whole lot better than my first one, not counting my large stage props, that is.
Anxious to see your textures from photoshop

Looks quite good. I particularly like the figures sticking up from the hatches. You might try adding cupolas for those hatches to give some extra visual interest, but your texture might eliminate that need. Hovercraft skirts are really tough to do, but those look good.

I like #2, you're on the right path. I agree, hover skirts are difficult. One trick to help with the rounded look is judicious use of light and shadow to to trick the eyes into seeing a more rounded shape than is actually there.

;D this is my first attempt and i was using A4 paper to just get an idea so not a lot of detail and this is all still new to me, so, my next step is to get a scan and play around with it on photo shop, which is going to take some time has i have never really used photo shop. but I'm enjoying it.. stay tuned.
any help/advice is welcome.

When you' re working with A4, changing paper sizes might be a problem. One of the tricks I learned from Mel (Christopher Roe for you new guys) was to set a page size of 7.5"x10"--that size works with all paper sizes.

Ok, Nik is on a mission to get the Hoards back up to date. He has asked me to make a "last call" on all outstanding hoards (except September) so consider this last call!
Edit: Hey, that little errand put me up past 500 posts!

Howitzer ready for cutting file treatment. Does anyone have a picture of this. I'm not sure how it's suppose to go together (which is a problem when trying to create a cut file)?

Hmmm... Why does the Type82-Recon have the full 3D wheels? Am I missing something?

Not sure -- but it looks as couple 2D wheel "layers" glued together and finished with black marker. It's easy to do, good loooking and gives additional "stability"

I was actually talking about the PDF file itself. The Type82-Recon has the "half wheel" pieces that match the body of the model (as well as a flat wheel piece to go on the outside) and then additionally has a page of 3d wheels. Is it suppose to have 6 wheels squirmydad?
