shep was a wonderful person. I need to get myself back in gear towards more Venetian projects. I put my Rialto Bridge on hold again. It just is really depressing that he never got to see that project completed. I plan on doing San Zandegolo and already have the texture done from the campo. I've been doing a lot of research on Seamier neighborhoods. I can't believe how narrow some of the streets are, like Calle della Comedie - Malipiero, where Casanova spent his very early years. The hallway in my house is that wide! Welcome, sirs

I was surprised that many "streets" would be passageways between buildings here. Could nearly touch both walls, but there were shops and even a chair or two for pocket sized restaurants. Since then, after reading maybe a bit too much fantasy about rogues and thieves, I imagine what the roofs are like--being so close together. One consequence is that you really have to be careful when buying a Venetian street map. One of ours was nearly useless as it showed only the larger streets.

My blood is still chilled. I really want to do things that I know he would have liked, but I find myself being sucked back into the dark hole when I start working on them.
I'm really going to miss him

And that's some good news! Since a live not far away from Venice (sono in zona Terme euganee) I'm very glad if I can help. In turn, this is a wonderful moment for me to be here: amazing people are creating amazing stuff to build a "playable" cardboard Venice. Carnevale demo? ๐๐๐

Hello all, I've been a long time hobbyist dabbling in many things though tabletop wargaming and terrain building have been the main nemisis to my purse strings it seems XD. After a bit of a hiatus and due to repeated lockdowns over the past while ive decided i need to get back into the swing of things to keep my sanity.......or is that to lose it......I cant tell anymore. So after long perusal of what options to direct my (non)existant artistic skills I've decided upon to try my hand at the wonderful craft of paper crafting, especialy after keeping my eyes on the wonderful work and inspiration provided by kris of crookedstaff terrain over on youtube. I've got me a printer, glue and other whats it abobs , along with printouts.....time to experiment I think.
ps. I'll apollogise ahead of time, I'd swear I was dislexic though i do tend to try to keep on top of it though no ones perfect aye XD
kind regards, Ro.

Hello everyone!
Thankyou for having this resource! Been an on and off wargaming since I was a kid. Never managed to make it stick for not having the time but mostly the finances to get the collections I want. Tried dabbling in 2mm but really wasn't pleased with the outcome and finally took the plunge with Peter Dennis' fantastic books! I said I'd buy one and ended up buying three. I also backed One Page Rules on Patreon and am having fun with their paper terrain and mini's.
I'm finally building the collection and wargaming table I've always dreamed of!
Look forward to getting stuck in!

Use the "search" function liberally until you find your way around and don't be afraid to ask any question you like. Appreciate the kind words! Safe to say, those books and the one page rules bits saved me from going insane at work. Charmed ever since. If anyone could point me in the direction of some nice WW1 & WW2 to Modern conflict miniatures (Happy to pay, doesn't have to be free) please let me know? I know Junior General exists, but I'm not overly keen on those.

Appreciate the suggestions guys. Is there any way, once I click on an individuals profile how do I find their work? Might be a stupid question but new to a proboard message board.
