Name: Mister Mxyzptlk (Vowels are overrated. For all the 3 dimensional beings it's pronounced Mix Yes Spit Lick) Reason I am here: I DM for a group that is made of people in person and online. I like to make paper models so the players don't have to ask "So, what is that blue bottlecap again?" I am desperately seeking some good dragon models. I have all the base artistic abilities of a coat rack. Forum Hoard #72 has a big red dragon - www.onemonk.com/fh-2010.html

Hi all! Just dropping in to say hello! It's been sometime since I've touched base, but I miss the place, so I thought I'd poke around and see how things are going around here. Hello to all the new folks.

Name is Shawn. I've Been Wargaming for many years. Have recently been house downsizing and offloading many of my metal figures, but now and then still need terrain and models. Am looking looking at cardboard and paper cutouts to fill the gaps and save expense. "Zombie Wagon" I made about 30yrs back using matchbox, lego, toothpicks, kiddies toy skeleton. (which I discovered last night, is 'glow in the dark!') Use it for my Fantasy Triumph! gaming as an 'Undead,' War Wagon.

Hello Shawn - I see you've made your way over from the Super Cheap Facebook group page. Welcome! I am in the same predicament - I have a really small play area and not much for storage either. So, I have started a little project called SPACE 1999cm² - I have a 50 cm by 40 cm area of desk to play in, so now all the terrain I am working on must have vetical playable areas, such as a couple of floors in a building and it must be easy to take apart and pack flat. I have posted a couple of examples both here and over on the FB group page.

Welcome. What genre are you most interested in? Hi Vermin King,
I am mostly interested in Sci-Fi: Star Wars, Battletech, Star Trek, Firefly/Serenity, Dr. Who, Barsoom Series, Dune, Flash Gordon, & Anime. Sadly, I have not found very many paper minis to accommodate these universes. I prefer paper minis with fronts and backs.

You are in luck for Star Trek figures; onemonk.com/wnmhgb-figures.htmlSomewhere out there there is a set of Firefly/Serenity figures, can't remember where at the moment though.

If you trawl through the Forum Hordes (http://onemonk.com/forum_hoards.html), you will probably find most of what you are looking for and for what is not covered, some pretty good substitutes.

We have one of the best Search tools on this forum. Just plug in your key words multiple ways and you will be surprised how much comes up. Also, go to onemonk.com/downloads.htmlYou can be busy for a long time

We try.
This forum has been around for quite a long time. We have a pretty good group here, including many publishers. The Monthly Hoards are an incentive to keep us flowing. If you haven't viewed the Papercuts section, yet, prepare to be blown away.

Hi spaceusagi, Welcome! Tell us what you are interested in and we can (probably) point the way to paper models you can use in those sorts of games. If you don't like "talking" to people you could just use the "Search" tab (top of page) or brows through the "Downloads" section (also at the top of the page.) Once you get the feel for the place the next step would be to mod (or create) what you need to and share it with others! Cheers!

I haven't seen any Borg minis, but if you like the WNMHGB section then you might enjoy Wayne Peter's Star Trek Mini-Maker; www.crowstuff.co.uk/MiniMaker/index.html

"altfritz" is my usual moniker (since the '95, 8-and-3 days) however I have only been big into paper minis since last summer when Peter Dennis released his Zulus. I *am* on another Paper Modelling forum, but I can't recall the exact name.

Regardless, welcome!

Hi all. After many visits I thought I'd join, just so I can thank all the skilled contributors. I've built a few paper/card structures for gaming, but not yet done any design work. I'm John, an old phart, living in South Australia. After the registration rejected several forum names (my personal preference was 'Jerry Hat-trick') I became Croweater, the name applied to South Australians by less kind citizens elsewhere in the country.

Thank you! I don't dare ask the other use... Yes, as it happens I stumbled upon the zelmeroz site. Not the usual type of navigation but some decent models. I was looking for something to broaden Papierschnitzel's "Tropical Village Builder" sets. And they are on the list of things to build one day! Games - we invented them in the early 1970s but weren't perceptive enough to patent them Done the usual wargames, found fantasy RPGs more fun. Not done very much for years, apart from a few games for grandkids. My own preference is fantasy RPG, and Cthulhu / cinema noir settings. I have a bunch of built up scenery for both (plus a few plastic and resin items) and no, card models don't take up less storage!
Left - from a fantasy campaign. Sorry, the building at right isn't paper, but most of this town is Dave Graffam's! Right - Mean Streets. ("Open in new tab" will show a non-watermarked full pic.)
