This would have been far more appropriate for last month's Hoard, but here it is anyway. The Invisible Man: I started off with one of okumarts' Romulans from Where No Man Has Gone Before and simply removed the interior. It can be left white or have the center trimmed out. Or, just the tab for the fully invisible look. I might still do a space squid mod... Barbarabarbrabarborough needs a standee as well. Printed on acetate no less....

I find it rather odd that there are so few images of Gus's Galaxy Grill from Spaceballs. My Google-foo is letting me down

Anyone know is Christopher Roe still OK with people posting mods and repaints of his free work (from the Genet site) for the hoard? I thought of asking him, but I see he did not login for months. Last I remember he was fine with similar things.

I don't remember which thread it was in, but he said that it was okay to post mods here at CW, as long as he is credited and if they aren't just spread all over the internet. When the Mars red repaints of some of his work were posted, he re-iterated that. When I heavily modded the Habdomes, he re-iterated that, which was back in July or August of this year. He also said it was fine to post my trailer hitch for the Onager trailer that Squirmydad did. His only stipulation was to give him credit for the original work and to post the mods here at Cardboard Warriors. Do you have something in mind? I always enjoy seeing Christopher Roe work

I am tempted to make a News Vehicle, to challenge my Gimp-Fu. I have much to learn.

Makes me smile. My minis I keep around vary so much in size, I was wondering how the food truck would look on the table. Looks good

Some security extras taking a break between photo shoots - Sir, we have reliable info that terrorists are using your foodvan to smuggle explosives. We are going to have to do a security check... What are you hiding in those food packages? Chicken rice eh? Sounds suspicious to me, no one eats chicken rice around these parts. Gimme two packs of it. And one of those fruit sallads, what have you hidden in there, the veggies look too fresh. Yo, Sargent, you think we should check cheese cake afterwards?

I started working on something that might fit here (although I am open to rejection). I would assume, though, that I am already too late. Am I right? Either way, it is kin of a practice piece and could be adapted to other themes later on, since I have no idea when I will actually be able to finish it.

The monthly Hoards are open to all contributions, even if they are not a part of the theme.

The "soft" timelimit is 'till the end of the month, but they accept a fey days more sometimes. Work at your own pace, if you do not finish in time, some other hoard will be its home.

The last two comments are definitely true. If you don't finish before this gets closed, you can add to another Hoard. As we get close to the end of the month, we usually ask if we need to extend things

About a week to go, but we are a bit flexible on things. Gus's Galaxy Grill isn't happening. At least not for this Hoard

»Cadet Trip« is basically ready to go, but I just didn't come around to build the shuttle and cadets, and take some pictures... Hope to get this done by the end of the month, but there's work, my father, and the upcoming SPIEL game fair... Well, it's still a week to go. At least, everything's printed and ready to be cut, bent, and glued...

My addition might not happen for this hoard. Had to finish another project first (which I posted on my own board further down because I did not want to be too intrusive. Well, yes, I did, but caught myself in time.)

Maybe, I will be able to build things tonight, so I can take some pictures tomorrow and upload them along the »Cadet Trip« 2-page-PDF.

It seems the news vehicle will be ready for the hoard. Had to rationalize the plans to fit it into the remaining time, but that is life.

The deed is done. Original plan called for much more to come forth, the time disagreed. The time prevailed. A word of caution:

I labored some more to reduce the filesize. Bandwidth comes not, for free.
There is slight loss of color on the "white" zones of the hull (they are pushed more towards the grayscale), but nothing that would be noticeable on a printed model. The filesize is almost a third of the previous. I should have mentioned that the file is backwards compatible with available cutfiles and construction manual at genetmodels.comIf Chris is OK with it, we could include them together with the model, to ease it for the builders? He's been okay with it in the past, all he's asked for is proper credit, which is there at the top.
