Friends, came to an end April. In less than a month I released 9 sets of miniatures:
1. Keno Regular Infantry (South) 2. Otlok Self-Defence Forces 3. Dzohr-Bozgular MG Tankette 4. Keno Guard - Reissue 5. Hen-Khalar APC 6. Lianra Motorized Infantry - Reissue 7. Never-Ending Autumn playing field - Reissue 8. Special Effects Set 9. Lianra androids - Reissue
In April, I plan to release the regular infantry of Alana and the Legion of Otlok Freedom infantry. I also plan to republish keno infantry (northeast) and keno assault infantry. I still think about new models, but I will definitely release Shi-Nesetel - light Otlok tank. Other sets are still in question.

Friends, the first month of work in a new format has come to an end. Exactly one month ago I released the first set of the project. It was a very fruitful month, in total 11 sets were released: - 7 sets of infantry (4 new and 3 reissues) - 2 models (both not previously published) - 2 sets of terrain Globally released 19% of infantry and 4% of vehicles. This means that in the near future it will be necessary to focus on the vehicles and "pull up" it to the infantry. Especially for Rhannon this month will be released Ngen-Ashar - attack aircraft of Otlok I now think which way to go: 1. Develop all factions in parallel 2. To focus on one faction and release all its infantry and vehicles. If we follow the first path, then I will release all sides in turns, ranging from simple regular infantry to unique special units. The models will be produced starting from simple combat vehicles and ending with tanks and aircraft. This is a consistent path when progressively stronger units appear on the battlefield. There is only one drawback to this path - I still have not ready all the models (66% of the models is missing). And it also means that unique units will not be released very soon If we follow the second path, the following releases will be devoted to Otlok. The fact is that the only fully completed faction is Otlok. The disadvantage of this path is that it will be possible to gather the entire faction, but it will have no one to fight with. The remaining factions are far from complete. I mean the models, because the infantry of all factions is fully prepared. The readiness of the models is as follows: KENO: Ready 45% (9/20 models) LIANRA: Ready 31% (5/16 models) ALANA: No model is ready (0/6 models) OTLOK: All models are ready (8/8 models) There is also a possible third way. But I have a doubt that it is good way. I consistently release all the infantry (29 releases), then I release all the finished models (20 releases). And the rest of the time I do and release the models that is missing (28 releases)

Neat! Will it come with a flight stand?

squirmydad, flight stand will be included in the set! Now I'm thinking about the design of the stand. There are two problems - how to make it not too huge, as well as how to make a simple and reliable mount of the aircraft with a stand

I have a mental block on aircraft. I have a hard time keeping everything 'true'. I use upside down clear plastic cups for flight stands, but there are some good ones out there. I wouldn't waste a lot of time re-inventing flight stands. Look at how others do them and then use the idea that fits your planes best to design your own.

Vermin King, squirmydad thank you! I looked and was inspired by what makes Comrade Genett! I tried to make a classic aviation stand. The design is stable if the base is glued to a thick cardboard. I used cardboard 1.5 mm 630 grams. The result was a stable design. The T-shaped design of the rack turned out to be solid, despite the fact that I used 160 gram paper. The simplified flat version of the aircraft will also be included in the set. After that I will do the assembly instructions. This week the aircraft will be released

Some news! I have been on vacation in St. Petersburg for two weeks already, so I did not release anything this time. But I did not idle this time and prepared several releases for release at once. At the end of this week I will return to Moscow and will begin to produce new models. What's new? 1. Reilar - this is the main Lianrian car. This model is a reissue, but there are significant changes. Heavy machine gun was replaced by a "universal". The kit will include 3 versions of the car - the army, for androids and the version for the Gaulada Brotherhood Corps. This model is slightly different textures - it looks more primitive and trimmed with primitive armor (a bit like the armored vehicles of the Syrian and Iraqi jihadists) The models are completely ready, I only need to test them and take a photo. 2. Rodzokhol - Otlok armored car. This model has not been released before. The set includes two versions - for the Otlok army and for the Liberation Legion army (Otlok pro-Lianrian insurgents) 3. Amolo is a reissue of the main Kenoese car. I reworked the model, now it looks a little different than before. The set will include 3 versions of the car - for army, for guard and the version for Korda baron Lerkteyo - Keno ally. All models are completely ready, I only need to test them and take a photos.

tomoko , I've always loved your stuff, but I haven't bought any sets because I'm not currently playing any games that use near-future infantry. I'm glad to see you've offered a couple of sets for $1--that's low enough to get me to buy minis that I like, even if I don't know how I'll use them. I'm also glad to hear that you're just changing your focus, rather than leaving the paper miniature field entirely. I think you may find that smaller projects that are designed to be used with many rule sets have a larger potential market than miniatures that are tied closely to a proprietary game. For what it's worth, there are a few published near-future and post-apocalyptic games that aren't well-supported with printable miniatures at the present time. You might try creating some miniatures that are unofficially compatible with those games. Specifically, I'd mention Wreck Age and Mutants and Death Ray Guns--both are available through Wargames Vault and DTRPG, and are rules sets that are intended to be played with miniatures from any manufacturer. I'd be playing both of them now if I had good cardstock minis for them, but I haven't found miniatures that suit all the factions in the games. I think that your style would work very well for these and similar games, and I'd love to see some post-apocalypse models from you. Of course, your figures would also work well as Imperial Guard and other factions for Warhammer 40K and Kill Team--I'm sure that people are using them for that game somewhere. You might try making some sets that users could see as representing other factions for those games. For example, I'm sure you could do great job on a set of steampunk cyborgs that people could count as Adeptus Mechanicus. I hope that you don't lose your enthusiasm for paper miniatures with this new direction. Your work is top-notch, and by working on smaller, more diverse projects, I think you'll find a wider audience. Good luck, and look forward to your future releases! Update: I did go ahead and buy the two $1 sets, as well as the $1 battle mat (Never-ending Autumn, I think?). They are as nice as I expected them to be...great work! If I can come up with a rationale for investing in a new genre--which mostly means finding a game to play with them--I'm sure I'll be buying more of you Steel line. I still hope to see more from you in other genres, especially post-apocalypse!

jeffgeorge, thank you for your words! And sorry for the long answer - I’m soon moving home from Moscow to St. Petersburg, so I could not answer fully. My English is very lame, I need more time to write a full answer. Thank you! Thanks to you and many other combat friends, the project continues to exist. I am planning some fantastic and post-apocalyptic projects in the future. May they not be as big as "Steel Warriors". In the future I want to abandon the giant projects and just make figures in different settings (post-apocalypse and science fiction). I also plan a set of modern special forces from different countries (I already have references). The only thing I lack now is time. I can’t manage several projects at the same time, I spend almost all my free time on "steel warriors". The preparation and refinement of infantry and models, the creation of assembly manuals, the layout of albums and the checking of possible errors take a lot of time. Sometimes it starts to make me sick of "steel" and I want to quit everything. But already ready too much to quit. I calculated the time. To complete and publish "Steel" I need 3 years. Until the end of this year, I will be able to publish 50% of all the infantry (about 270 miniatures) and 30% of models (about 17-20 models). Next year I will lay out all the infantry and begin developing new models (they still exist in the form of 3D blanks). I also plan to upload archival miniatures for 2009, 2011 and 2013. And also I plan to create a little terrane, which will be related to the "never-ending autumn", but it can be used not only within the framework of SW. I hope that returning home to St. Petersburg will give me more time and opportunity to engage in miniatures and I will begin to add materials from other ideas. This is a project of a modular designer of robots. This is a set of miniatures of two insectoid races. This is a set of counters and a wargame playing field with different rules. This is a set of modern special forces - Russian, Polish, American, German, etc. I have an idea of the rules for a simple skirmish. There are sweeps of the old Soviet models, which I did in the kids, and which I want to redraw. Plans very much! It remains for me to realize all this! Thank you for support! I’m not the only one developing this, but with you and other comrades. Therefore, I believe that I can handle it. Спасибо! Dima aka Tomoko

You are doing excellent work, sir! If at any time you feel the need to take a break to re-inspire your enthusiasm for your work, then do so. We will be here waiting for your next release when you feel the time is right for it. Don't overwork yourself with this until it becomes a chore instead of a passion.
Keep up the great work but remember to keep yourself up as well.

I decided to do releases every decade. Three times a month. This will allow me to do quality and not get very tired. At the moment, 4 sets are fully ready for release:
1. Shi-Heredza APC - 10.10.2019 2. Ashtrark truck - 20.10.2019 3. Lianra Mirror Battalion - 1.11.2019 4. Korda Militants - 10.11.2019
In process 2 sets: 1. Gaulada Militants - 20.11.2019 2. Baarth-Jat Strangers - 1.12.2019
I divided the development into 3 main stages: 1) The first wave of infantry and models - it contains 63% of the finished infantry and all ready-made models. The First Wave is divided into six stages and I plan to finish it in the middle of summer 2020. 2) The second wave of infantry - I plan to release it before the end of 2020. The second wave contains 13 sets of infantry. At this ALL project infantry will be published (546 miniatures) 3) The second wave of models - this will be the final stage of the project. All the remaining models will be made from sketches and their production and publication will take at least 2 years (23 models)
Terrain I will do in between stages
