Hi, I personally like minis without the black bold line because 1)I often reduce them to 15mm scale and cut them "around" without precision and with the bold black line the 15mm minis look very dark. 2) It saves some black ink. So a multi-layers pdf will be a good solution: a layer with the minis and another layer with the black bold lines. Then everyone could print the minis as they like. Bye.

Hi, I'm making some 15mm fantasy too. At first I only reduced the size via the print process (4 pages per sheet) but the result was too dark due to the black border line. With The Gimpshop software (or equivalent) you can reduce the black border, reduce the size (to 15mm) and copy the same mini several times to print sheet with many of them. The second aspect problem of the 15mm minis is the lack of thickness; So I glue them on beer mat (1mm card stock):front side first, then cut , then glue the backside. The final look is pretty cool I mean. I will put some pics soon.

Yup, that's what I've been dong lately... upping the DPI to 300, resizing at 50% and then printing. Works like a charm! onemonkeybeau I think so, if you don't have any print problems, which is not my case. I have an ImacG3 and run Gimpshop on it (with the X11.app) The scaling with Gimpshop is OK and looks good, but when printing there's bug with the resolution I mean, that gives bad results. So till I change my computer I have to use the adobe 4/1 method! Wabbitwampage

Hiya, I found a good way to avoid the loss of resolution was to double the dpi of the page, then shrink the image to 50% size. Looks a lot cleaner. The easy way of course is to do the Adobe 4/page printing method, but that wastes a lot of paper when you're really only printing one page of miniatures. With my old deskjet, I just turn over the sheet and place it back into the tray for the next print, again and again... so I print effectively 4x15mm scaled pages on 1 sheet of paper and don't waste paper.

First test in printing 15mm skeletons (a glaive battalion of 40 figs) after some modifications with Gimshop: The result is not very fine cause of driver or resizing problem with the soft (loss of resolution) and made me thought the 15mm scaling not a good idea at all... but here comes the cavalry with the classical "4pagesin1" scaling artefact of adobe reader and look at the difference i think they are pretty good : I have a HP Deskjet 845C; I have printed the "A letter"'s mini using the CUPS/Gutenprint (Gimp) driver. I have printed the "D letter"'s mini using the HP driver. Wabbitwampage

Elves look fine in 15mm scale! Here are mine : It's before lamination( plastification in French!) and mounted on a prototype "Battle Masters alike" base (small part of wood with carved slots and battlefield overlay glued on it). To be continued...Wabbitwampage PS:Sorry for the poor quality of the photograph (or photographer may be?)

About Demonworld, it's a german game at origin and Hobby products still own the rights as you can see at the bottom right of web page: DEMONWORLD™ and the DEMONWORLD™ logo are registered trademarks of HOBBY PRODUCTS GmbH. DEMONWORLD™ and its connected imagery © 1994, 1997 by HOBBY PRODUCTS GmbH. But as said on the site you can download for free (I mean the authors (Ingo Martin) gave authorization for the free distribution of the french version of the game?). Perhaps it's a good idea to open a thread about this rules if you want.

I 've reduced the skeleton minis in 15mm (with the multiple-pages option in adobe reader) but the result is not very nice (too much black lines+ black border makes them look dark and difficult to recognize as skeleton). The result is excellent with the elves (I will post pics soon). For the rules you can check this site www.demonworld.fr (it's in french) but the download section is full of interesting things.
