I have a few ideas brewing and Game day is on Sunday. So I'm rushing, trying to get everything ready. Working on the floor plan for Aelor's Magic Emporium, right now and I need ideas for how to represent piles of books and boxes scattered about and ladders, too. Aelor's is here, If you want to see it. cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/thread/5708

Sounds fabulous! I can't wait!
Have you seen my Aelor's Magic Emporium? I'd like your opinion, if you wouldn't mind. It's in the Gallery.

It's a lesson learned, I suppose. Hopefully, they will be a little more thoughtful next time. And I hope there will be a next time.

Thanks, Migbb. That's his bedroom/workroom, built after he destroyed the tower in one of his experiments gone awry. I added rubble in different places and cracked walls from the various explosions. The stove pipe is made from 3 bendy straws and painted black. The umbrella is Aelor's solution for weather proofing the ruined tower. I still have to mount it and do the out buildings, but I've been having fun with it!

You're close. It was actually in Looney Tunes (yes, I know, Bugs was there, too), it was baby Elmira, whom all the creatures ran from who said it. But, you are right in saying that it had it's origins in "Of Mice and Men" You get the Gold Star, Cowboyleland.

I just want to be sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. And I just wanted to use him (it?) for my own game. But if you think it's permissible, then I'll take some photos and share him here. Or should I send it to Squirmydad first? I do not have a base for him as I drew the front and back on separate pieces of paper. I finished outlining him last night and this morning I brushed on a coat of Aileen's Clear Tacky glue to protect him from smudging.
I'd really be interested in your opinions. Also, I'd like to figure out a different pose for him (I used the same pose as in the book) and couldn't think of a better one.

He's beautiful! I'm going to take him home and hold him and hug him and pet him and name him George!
Anybody know who said that?

Well, the only thing I have at the moment is not strictly my own work. It is a drawing based on a creature out of the 3.5 MM. I am planning on using it as a creature in my game, so I drew my rendition of it and then did the back. Now I have to outline and highlight it, then cut it out and mount it. I might put it in the Aelor's thread just to see if anyone can identify it, just for fun.
Have you ever seen Pink Floyd's "The Wall"? If you have, do you remember the, um, amorous flowers (tulips)? I've been thinking of something like that, only more deadly, rather than, well, you know. What do you think?

Like your Venus Mantrap. Looking forward to see how you develop it, you know, like dripping blood, fangs instead of thorns, etc.

Thank you so much for those encouraging words, Zygrott24, that was very kind. I have been thinking about trying my hand but...(swallows nervously)...OK! You've talked me into it! I'll try something. But where should I post it? In the gallery?
BTW: I just posted new pictures of the improvements I made to Aelor's, if you are interested.

Kevin: You mean you stole it?
Randall: No, no. Well, sort of.
Great movie!

Oh, yeah. Those pesky space requirements! I'll wait for a purple dragon, get all those 'common' dragons out of the way first! Lol! Just remember (she said teasingly), dragons are my heart, so the purple one must be spectacular!

You guys all have good points, and I concede to them, bowing out, saying "Oh God, I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself king of infinite space - were it not that I have bad dreams."
OK, so much for melodrama and deep thoughts. No one got my reference? I thought for certain at least one of you would have seen "Time Bandits"!

Love all of it! Especially the dragon. I'm a huge dragon fan. The only thing I'd do is make his tail a little longer, give him better balance - otherwise he's perfect! Can't wait to see him colored! Have I mentioned that purple is my favorite color? Beautiful work, Kiladecus

Oh, BraveSirKevin, don't tell me I have to defend Shakespeare here, too? I'm constantly defending him to my husband, who doesn't like the long soliloquies or the flowery language. Shakespeare was a master of the written word on so many levels. From the time I was 10, my dad & I used to read Shakespeare's plays together, each of taking on several parts. I continued the practice with my kids.
But, I agree, Monty Python, like Shakespeare, needs an understanding of, or at least a background in the culture to fully appreciate the work and humor. You can say the same thing about 30 Rock. If you aren't familiar with American politics, the humor and references will be lost on you.
OK. So let's see who gets this reference: "Oh, Pansy! I don't have to where the special _____ anymore."

Katy Perry? Not hardly! That was Helen Reddy, Katy Perry wasn't even born when Helen Reddy was making it big. 'I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar!' became the anthem for the Woman's Movement through most of the seventies.
As to your figure, I like his horns, they're part of his helmet, right? Does he have any brothers? (No. Disregard that, he's paper and I'm married.)
It's the wind, it's the wind! I swear it's the wind!

Hooray! You're my friend! If I seem a little weird today, it's because of all the high winds around here. I can actually see the walls move in my trailer when the wind hits them a certain way. Spooky. And now Kiladecus says we are now officially friends! I'm afraid it's going to my head!
