Produce for the market. The fruit and vegetables will be displayed outside the grocer shop. The fishmonger will be one side of a large stall. For the other side of the large stall,I am considering a delicatessen. That would use up the bread, cheese, sausages and maybe the small cuts of meat. The silk table (from Timbuktu Houses by Glenn Williams) will be included in a tailor's stall, with rolls of cloth and maybe a cutting table. The spices will have a seperate stall (from Timbuktu Houses). I'm not sure if I will include the weaponry in the finished set up

Preparing the fabrics for the cloth merchant stall. These will all be rolled, like the top one, and propped on the display or stacked under the silks table. I am thinking of doing some more decorate the stall walls. A tartan will be unrolled on the cutting table, with an off-cut folded on the corner of the silks table.

Cloth merchant stall. The lower rack is a sloping display turned on its back with the fabric rolls propped up and glued in place. I did a little kit-bash on the upper rack. The sides were cut away to fit around the corner posts and a piece of flooring attached to form a shelf. The silks table will go under a Timbuktu style canopy with rolls of cloth under the table.

The full set up for the cloth merchant. To make this fit the space, I may have to kit-bash a single sided large stall. If that proves the case, it will be a fishmonger

Starting work on the Fish stall. I will be combining parts of the large and small market stalls to get the best of both designs. A wide frontage with minimum depth, to fit the limited space available

Sides and back prepared. Outside face, at top, will have tabs to attach floor and canopy. The interior face has no tabs. The interior back retains the side extensions, tese will be used to hide any gaps at the corners. I cut the outer side panels to create a similar feature, in this case, the extra tabs will sandwich between the layers to attach the panels.

And all those Daleks in the background of the last photo ... okay, I am still a bit tired from the weekend, but that is what my brain first 'saw' when I saw the image

Floor in place. Preparing the front and posts. I created a front tab on the floor and turned it under, so I wouldn't need the base frame

Posts and top frame in place. The top frame was relatively easy. It is simply a large stall roof frame cut in half along the original fold line.

Does the canvas lift up or off? The canvas is fixed. The crossbar behind the front of the canvas is attached to the side frames. The back edge of the canvas is fixed to the top of the back. This makes it more solid for gaming

Rethinking the layout of my market. On a 3x3 table, I struggle a little for space. The fishmonger was intended to cross in front of the church but I quickly realized this would block both church and bridges. Changing the layout of the cloth merchant and turning the fishmonger solved the problem. Instead of including the spice merchant here, I plan to relocate it between the Spezieria and the back of Caffe Lombardi. With a hat shop still in the design phase, my whole board will become a market district

The next build for my table will be a combo of these two. The plan is to fit the dice rolling ramps from the Historic Dice Tower inside a Venetian Watch Tower and attached the courtyard from the dice tower. Two issues have presented themselves: If I cut out the section of watchtower wall with the door to allow the dice to roll out, can i devise a way of reattaching it for photos? I would like to have an open hatch in the centre of the upper platform, to drop down dice. How can I do this neatly, including removal of the existing hatch?

Not sure how the hatch is in the top of the tower, but my guess is that you will want to have a drop in floor piece to cover the hole. You might want to do something similar, like a wall/door piece that inserts into the lower hole and covers it. Just throwing ideas out there

I would like to edit out the existing hatch, which is quite close to the wall and have a working one in the middle of the floor. An empty window frame with the hatch cover folded back against the floor could be the ideal solution
