Hey hey folks! Firstly, happy New Year! Apologies for the extended break-the honeymoon was amazing (if tiring-Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Miami in 17 days then flying back to the UK is more than a little knackering!) and I can highly recommend the Tonga room if you are ever in San Francisco! Work has been crazy busy since we got back, but I finally managed to get a few things finished up whilst visiting the in-laws this weekend, so here we go with the sketches ... Zombie-thinking of this guy as a kind of standard foot soldier for making up the hoard, with multiple heads, different colourways etc Nap time zombie (this guy's still in his jammies) Crawler-one of two 2.5ishD crawling zombies I'm working on And some human victi...HEROES! Jack-this guy's lost his family and is bent on revenge Kelly has put her martial arts skills to good use since Z-Day Adrian-an ad agency intern, he just thought it would be another day at the office... I have a few more bits and pieces (more heroes, some female zombies), but don't want the post to be too long and boring! Will keep you all updated and hope to get a little more active on the boards again! Cheers all! A

Adam! First off, I'm glad the Honeymoon was good and you made it home safely! Had you ever been to the States before, or was this your first time? Secondly... oh... my... goodness... Your new stuff is AMAZING! I can hardly wait to see these bad boys colored and have them on my table! You so have the knack for zombies! Glad you're back! See you around, onemonkeybeau ps: I for one wouldn't think more of your art would be boring... anybody else?

I'll second, posts with art are never boring.
The new designs look great! Pretty soon you will have all the figures needed to do a super zombie game. JIM

You mean I can call of the task force sent out to find you! USA to UK fly time.... Piece of cake - Australia to ANYWHERE now that's fracked. Great to hear that you had a great time and that you are still married... you are aren't you The Art: These look fantastic. Love the idea of swapping in and out of the heads for the first shamble, then colouring differently to give a faster horad. The others look great too. With the Crawler you should give use a "tail" of innards that could be printed off on film to give a very nice shiny effect. The survivors also look - whized, lost and a lot of fun to play. Hope to see more for you Zee and anything else that might pop up from you in the near future. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood

Thanks again folks for the positive support! I had spent some time in Chicago before the honeymoon, but it was the wife's first time in the States and she loved it! It will be moving to Miami time as soon as we win the lottery... And as you asked for it, here are a few more sketches for what I have planned currently: Ali here is kinda Mina v2, and could go either way at the moment Crawler 2-female variant Hot Topic Zombie-teen goth apocalypse starts here! And finally Bruce-boom stick to be added later... I am pretty excited by the new batch, and can't wait to get them finished up. Am thinking of kind of 'mini' sets-two zombies, one hero in the 3 phases maybe...we'll see how it works out! Cheers! A

Once you get a full set, I'd be happy to make a single page layout of just them. Glad to see you got the itch to draw again. JIM

Have you looked at Apocalypse Z..... it's a supplement for battlefield evolution by mongoose. Minis in your style would be perfect for that. I've managed to find most of the human forces form Onemonk..... need fireman and swat teams though. Firemen have become vital zombie killers with their protective gear, gas masks and axes. The terra force models are great for most of the rest. Need more zombies though The mad cow has allready been draughted as a 'zombie beast'.

Hey abaddon (and all!)!
I have been faffing around with the scaling and adding weapons etc, as well as working on a few other bits and bobs. But fear not, I will have at least some new images posted by the end of the week!
I have also had a few ideas for more 'bio-weapon' characters in the vein of my slasher movie fig Hodder, but we'll have to see how that plays out...

Love 'em. I particularly like the idea of the '2.5D' Crawlers - matter of fact I was thinking a couple of days ago about creasing shoulders and such to add dimensionality. Jack and Adrian look particularly cool, too.

Just because I am a pushy bastard with no talent myself..... are they ready yet?
I am looking at the game Last Night on Earth by Flying Frog Prductions... 60% for the game 40% for the minis but I know that your work will out shine theirs.

LOL! ;D'Fraid that progress is at the 'slow and steady' stage at the moment, abaddon. Had an awful 'why can't I draw all of a sudden???' night last night resulting in a lot of screwed up inks and frustration, but did get the weapons scaled in right this morning before work ( I got in a little early...) Soon-I promise!

Yea, it's slow and steady with a shambling gait - you think your fine, safe even. That's when they get you, the hoard has surrounded you taking you down - alive..... so painfully alive. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood

I personally would love these as a one pack release. This way it saves the user from having to print off pages of items that they are not going to use (at the time).
The inking really add reality to these figures. Cannot wait until we see the colour.

Hey folks! Well, I managed to catch the stomach bug that was doing the rounds so was out of action for a few days (THAT was a great way to end the Valentine weekend! ) but I have managed to start colouring the new batch, so worry not! I will post a 'sneak peak' as fig each is finished, but will be putting these together in one set-am thinking one hero (in the 3 stages if I have time), and 3 or 4 zombies. In almost related news I am now trying to decide what to go for for the wii-Dead Rising or House of the Dead Overkill. I have a birthday coming up so... Take care all and speak soon!

You sound like a fellow obsessive Have you looked at the New world disorder game? I downloaded it with it's zombie expansion..... basically Necromunda gang type campaigns, but you can have one player running the zombie hoards every now and again. Perfect for your figs.
