The crawler zombies give me a good idea for tracking zombie damage... Start with standing zombies and when they're hit replace them with crawling zombies which keep coming... Unless you hit them in the head of course :)

One thing (among many other things) that I likes about Darkmook products is they're easy to cut and don't have many nooks and crannies. Which is good for beginner like me . Keep up the good work, Sir!

The crawler zombies give me a good idea for tracking zombie damage... Start with standing zombies and when they're hit replace them with crawling zombies which keep coming... Unless you hit them in the head of course :) How about a custom dice with hit locations? Arm hits create a shambler, leg hits create a crawler. As you replace the zombie with more banged up versions he becomes increasingly difficult to hit (can't hit the legs on a crawler). Just keep hoping for that head shot :)

Awesome!
Are your diorama bits included, or are those coming with the rules?

Post by darkmook on Jan 13, 2011 0:11:21 GMT -9
Cheers guys! The diorama isn't included-they are really just for display purposes, and are made from the textures from the 2D map board I am working on for the Survival Horror game. I did consider including one with each set, or maybe putting a pack together with a couple of them in, but wasn't sure if there would be much of a demand for them. I will bear it in mind though if there seems to be enough interest!

Speaking of interest, what about base toppers for those of us who use foamcore bases?

Well, I've sharpened up one of the dioramas for inclusion in this set, so will see how that goes!
As for the base toppers, I will see what I can do for the next release, or maybe popping them on RPG now as a separate file...

Hi folks-long time no post! I have been having major computer issues, with quite a few of my files being turned into unrecognizable versions of themselves ('What do you mean this file isn't compatible with this version of Photoshop-I just MADE IT on this version of Photoshop??!!??' being a constant cry in DARKMOOK Towers at the moment...) but hopefully will be getting a loaner laptop this weekend so normal service should be resumed! I am still working on the Horror Hospital set, and am also making a start on an Urban Magic set. I am also compiling a bunch of stuff for WWII era weirdness, but we will have to see how that goes... In other news, I have a playtest with the revised rules for the SURVIVAL HORROR game this Saturday, and will try to get a 'battle report' sorted for the blog if it pans out. So, not idle but certainly battling to get stuff finished! Cheers!

Why is it that when there is a lot in the pipeline computers go bonkers? I think the machine infiltrators know and attack us when we are our most vulnerable.
Let us know how the battle goes

Well, one sprained spine/pelvis joint and a computer meltdown later, I am finally back to mini design!! I have had to adapt to a new way of working over the past month, limiting pc time to 10 minute bursts and have been doing a lot more inking in Photoshop-the next set is the result. A bit different to previous sets, SURVIVAL HORROR SET 7: EXTRACTION has human figures only-two six man extraction squads in hazard suits, one team in Black Ops Camo, the other in Classic Biohazard yellow! SQUAD LEADER in Black Ops Camo I am hoping to include another diorama backdrop for these guys, and will be finalising a release date soon!
