Ok, I read this post and just dropped EVERYTHING this morning and thought I'd get to some backlog of paper models I have printed out and stinking up the place. My original plan was to cut out some minis but I thought I'd add to my carpool. The model is Grendel's Mother's Police Cruiser found here: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.com/2012/05/big-cars.html1. Printing - I usually have no problem printing from my Brother MFC-J6910DW. I printed off this car over ten years ago. Holy cats! 2. Cutting - I like to cut and prefold all my parts first. 3. I find it best to edge the minis and if there are two parts that will be glued together (like the sides and the tires) I like to give the back a thin line of black in case it's not quite lined up.

Suspension/axel part reworked, and retextured. Headlight and tailights added. Still need to work on the body/engine. I keep going back and forth on the headlight. The conical one, is more fiddly (considerably so), and seems sort of out of place on an atv. The boxy one, is less fiddly, and seems to fit better. I kind of feel like it should be a tiny bit smaller, but I'm not sure if I can go much smaller, and keep a decent sized light. Despite the boxy one seeming to be the obvious choice, but the conical one keeps looking at me, and I think...I dunno...maybe? I could really use some outside opinions on this. What fits the best, what looks the coolest, what makes the most sense (visually and build wise). That sort of thing. I've been staring at, and built enough iterations of this thing, that I can't tell if it's real or if my eyelids are playing movies again. Fresh eyes could most helpful. Anyway here's both of them.
Jeez, that's an amazing model. Well done! I really admire how un-paper-like it appears.

A little more progress. The "where you put your feet" section seem too long, so I shortened it by a 1/4" ( I might knock another 1/8" off). Also tried some different sizes of wheels until I got to this one, which looks pretty good to my eye. This is not how the wheels will attach, I just haven't gotten to that part yet, and I wanted to get the wheel size right so I could see what part I need to make for them. Vermin King , "Do you have a four wheeler that you are using as an example?" Yes, and no. For the design, I'm just kind of making it up. Somewhere between what looks believable ( at least to me) and what's feasible. Of course I did look at a lot of pictures to help with the believable part. I was unaware that you could buy one from Target, Walmart, and Amazon. Anyway, I digress. I did get some decent pics that I will use to help me texture it, like the tires for instance. I could see a real use for a couple of four wheelers in a game.

Interesting. I think their art is cool (read: better than mine). I don't like the white border though. It IS nice to see back art. I've often wondered about printing on cardboard for more permanent standees but shipping is hella expensive these days.

My wife has Covid now. Hopefully nobody else got sick. Everyone else here seems to be doing fine. I keep testing negative so that's good. That's a cute dragon.

I recently rediscovered this set of Trek ships. I'd love to know how well they go together. Find them here: Star Trek Paper Models 1980

What it says on the tin. My printer died. I got really sick for quite a while and my energy never really returned. I don't game as much, and when I do the scenery is usually provided by others. I don't do solo gaming any more because I am lazy. I thought something like the Pandemic would have given our community some extra juice, but it seems to have diminished. If I could point to a single day, it would be the day that we lost Shep that we all kind of stopped. Our moment of silence is ongoing. I still check this forum every day, or almost every day anyways. I have high hopes of starting this fun and engaging hobby again, but I don't know when. Have you considered more Solo Gaming? The papercrafting can be for your own enjoyment as well. It's cheaper and more efficient for storage and you get to appreciate the fruits of your labour personally. I made a few vids of Darkfast Dungeons as a solo game and it was fun. I am working on a Save the Day solo option as well. Link to the Tik Tok Solo Play videos

I have a plan to do some "Grimdark Fantasy" minis in the new year. They would be more realistic, gritty, and would work well as B&W.

I find the UHU works best for me. It does a good job of bonding the paper. I use it for all my paper minis and most terrain. I will use white "School Glue" (Elmers) if I'm making something that needs to dry/bond fast (cars, somebuildings,etc.).

I have had no response either. I haven't asked squirmydad, but I would like it if we could host some of his files in the Downloads EDIT -- A lot of his models are on www.flickr.com/photos/23016681@N07/page1 , but probably not the ones you are looking for Oh, there are some models on there that I was looking for. Thanks!

The Inkjetpaperscissors site seems to be having downloads issues? inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.com/It looks like it's permissions on Google Drive. Does anyone know if grendelsmother64 has been made aware? I've sent a few messages but to no avail. Looks like the last visit here was in February.

This is brilliant. Lots of places to hide for skirmish games and some real character for RPGs. Nice! I can't wait to build them.
