I was trying to do something like this for a while. Your method solved all the problems I had with this type of base. Thanks!

I am not experienced with forum tec, though. Could be very time-consuming and costly. I think that each of us must have a place to display his own stuff independently of the existence of the forum. Eggs in more than one basket. A Flickr account or a google sites page is enough. I don't think that there is sufficient interest in "mature" minis to feed a forum of their own. (yet, one day... maybe. When paper minis are so popular that each sub-set of them has interest in them to make a forum, I will be truly happy indeed.) Mine (scarce) stuff is in tiagohackbarth.com/papercraft (a google site for which I bought a personalized domain to redirect)

Now don't get me wrong; I love Darkmook, and own all that stuff. Heck, I pushed to get the backdrop included. You gotta admit tho that Lovecraftian horror, 'classic' werewolves, and even non-Warhammer-esque vampires is scarce. Well, Darkmook did draw werewolves, he did a full sheet of werewolf doddles and posted it on the forum. He simply didn't finished them And they were amazing! I never bought a set from him because I don't care for zombie stuff, but I would buy any werewolf set he released in an instant! (there was some vampire stuff too, but modern age vampires, White-Wolf like, not Bram Stocker like)

AFAIK Deviant Art host almost anything. You must be logged (and promised you are above age of consent) to access the more adult artwork.
I'm still of the opinion that revgunn and Paladin should make available their artwork, no matter how objectionable someone may think it is. But I have to agree that this is Nick house and he has the right to ask for any art that he object to be removed, for any reason or no reason at all. Up until now he has been very honest and reachable about his reasons and while I may not have the same views, I agree with the rules. I just wish that theses minis (not just the holodancer but also the NSFW minis that revgunn alluded to before) could had a place of their own.

It is built around a thick cardboard tube, like tommygun's tanks and towers.
The movie is good for everyone. Specially the parents of the intended public. Go watch it!
Since it's a project for kids, I intended a simple build, with low detail but the most faithful to the original possible. It was a mix and match of pieces from my collection of models, and it shows.
The interior, in particular was a stroke of luck: browsing for images of the tower back (there aren't any) I found concept art of the paintings Rapunzel does on the inside of the tower! Didn't find the floor of the tower also, but I substituted.
Most of the tower are pieces from Cinderela's and Robin Hood's castles from seite42.de

Some photos of the troops and the armored car. I'm no designer, I just modded the minis (without backs) from shadowolf and the car from Marco Lallo. I would love to see some shadowolf minis with backs. His style is excelent and meshes very well with One monk minis (his art is at some point between Jim and Crusiau).

Update: The Caveirão is almost finished. It's just a mod in one really simple model from recortecole.com.br. Mostly I scaled, added some simple highlights and it was ready.
As soon as that is ready, I'll post a update.

The Caveirão ("Big Skull" BOPE Armored Troop Transport, got the nickname from the insignia of the troop) is in my plans. At least the geometry, I'll ask for help with the textures later, since I'm not good with them.
I want some criminal combatants for them. In Rio de Janeiro the Drug Lords are heavily armed but uncharacterized (no uniform or distinctive characteristics). Maybe I'll mod MMIP Showcase #3 Rebels by Lazarus. They are the closest thing, just more more dark skinned and with brighter clothes (we are in Brazil, after all).

BOPE (Special Operations Brigade) is the Brazilian answer for the SWAT. Military Policeman specialized in combat with drug lords, hostage situations and other high risk, high stakes operations. sites.google.com/site/thackbarth/BOPE.jpgI based them in a SWAT Team by Shadowolf, together with some "UNIT Troops" from him. Mostly a recolor and some tweaks, like the insignia.

Brabantini sends me 2, 3 emails a year, at most. The only thing interesting there now is the archive of paper minis, most are mods on Crusiau minis.

There was a set of Gladiators in Ragnar Shadowolf site. But it was in geocities, and so it is ancient history now. I think it isn't a problem if I up a copy of them now, though:

Coolest looking setup ever! ...OK I'm a little bias. ;D Every Pringles can I eat will be textured like that now. Soon I'll have enough tanks for a petrol refinery!

Badass! I love the setup you got going there. Was it a fun game? Not a game. I just finished putting the industrial complex together and wanted to see what it would have looked with some props on top.

Mine is more like a heavy duty felt. Does not resemble grass when up close. But is good enough for a battlemat.
I didn't knew that "moquete" is a other word for carpet, I thought it was some kind of hobbyist material for grass. Somewhere between Italiano -> English -> Português we confused each other. :-)

We have Leroy Merlin here, but I didn't see this "moquete" product. Some time ago I was buying paint and some planks there, on a whim, i bought 2m² of green carpet to make a battlemat.
My wife still rants at me about the roll of carpet taking too much space in the library, but I may use your project as a excuse to go back to mine. :-) I'll certainly look for the plastic plants next time I go shopping for DIY stuff.

These minis are from Greywolf, he has them in True type Font format in his site. greywolf.critter.net/fonts.htmInstall the font, fire your favorite graphic program (GIMP in my case) and write ABCD...+enter+abcd... Then you have all the characters, fronts and backs. They don't align properly, so a little fidgeting may be necessary. And then its just a matter of choosing colors. He made may genres, from Space Opera to Supers to Cliffhangers to Furry (he illustrated the previous version of Ironclaw/Jadeclaw RPGs)

I did a recolor of the Graywolf Space Opera Enforcers set, I just never submitted it to the previous Hoards. I'll finish the set (I think 2 or 3 figures are missing) and release it to the hoard now.

I make my scenery, like this, using normal paper and gluing in Corn Flakes packages. Good idea, making a video tutorial, maybe I'll try it to illustrate some of the mare hard to describe techniques.
