Mine printed just fine. If it matters, I am using whatever the newest version of Adobe Acrobat reader, and whichever version of the file comes in the retail purchase. Did they say exactly what the error was?
The only thing I ran into is if I cancel a print job, an error blocks me from trying to print that same file again until I close and reopen it. However, this happens with any PDF, not just the rulebook.

Also... calling the hive-mind, just wondering if anyone has been having problems printing the Darkfast Dungeons Basic Game Rulebook. I'm running Adobe 10 and haven't had an issue. A patron was asking if this was a problem with anyone else. I will give it a shot in a little bit and see how it goes, once I figure out how to trick my printer into printing double sided

Technically that's an orc, not goblin. But yeah, scaling 50% or so on printing might be your best option for space goblins

Well, it's not quite on my gaming table yet (at least not assembled) . Apparently when you try to do ALL of DFD at once, its literally a whole ream of paper. I haven't even printed the furniture pieces or tiles yet. Which brings me to my next question; is the tiles in the Realm of Shades set supposed to be used instead of or in addition to the base set tiles?

So these things are amazing scorers: linkThey come as a 3 pack and double ended with a total of 6 different tip sizes, and there's even grips! I have been experimenting with several different tools, and these outperform them all so far

Thank you guys for the help! Thanks for picking up the game. You are so very welcome! I just wish I had been paying attention to this site when you launched the KS for it. The fact that I missed out on the exclusive set is going to drive me batty My phone buzzed alerting me to your purchase in the night. Now I am curious. Do you get a notification on every sale or just the larger ones? As I do most of my DriveThruRPG shopping late at night, I would feel bad if sellers are getting bugged at 1 AM for all my small purchases.

Awesome! Even if it's too late for the OP to make use of these, I sure will!

I finally got around to purchasing most of the DFD stuff last night. I had a couple questions in regards to tile assembly.
1. When I cut the tiles out do I cut them out as 4"x4" squares or do I cut out the white unused portions of said 4x4 tile? I know if I use the 3d walls, I will need to trim down, but the rules stated something about "drawing a random tile" and I am not sure how to do that if they are not the uniform 4x4 tiles.
2. If I am going to use the walls, should I just print the tiles onto cardstock, or should I still mount them to something thicker?
Everything I've seen of this looks GREAT so far. The mini sets and all their variations will keep my hobby knife busy for quite a while!

Those pics remind me that this guy is getting bumped to the top of my "stuff to build" pile.
Also, for those prone to missing the obvious (like myself), remember on these multi page minis from Printableheroes that the mini comes in a box on the printout. Use that to align the front and back pieces, and don't just stick the whole 2 pages together. My first attempt of the Ancient Dragon is funny looking from that error...

So I finally got the Bug Guy built. It took 2 attempts to print and assemble as the first one had alignment issues and I screwed up getting it to stand trying to give it a removable base. So now to go find a game to justify all the time and paper spent on this project!

92 bucks, came with toner. The extra set of toners I ordered we're about 15.

Due to the paranoia induced from a copyright block trying to print my last order at Fedex Office, I decided to look into color laser printers. I found a used Dell on amazon that was cheap enough, with replacement toners priced not absurdly (at least for 3rd party ones). It arrived this afternoon, and was immediately put to work once I got home and set it up. The dragon was printed on it. The only issue is it seems to curl 110lb cardstock. I ordered some 65lb to try later, but the curl isn't bad enough to be unusable. By the way, I am now in love with Papercraft Dungeon's basing system! I just wish there was a big enough base for the one in the back...

Yeah, GIMPing it is the net step. I figured this would be a long shot, but doesn't hurt to ask. :-)

So I currently am looking for some dungeon decorations to build some dungeon crawls for a potential dnd 5e campaign I want to do at some point. I know there's various 3d dungeon furniture pieces out there, but there's something about putting more dimensions into the set pieces than the minis that always seems off. I'm also not a fan of the flat token style furniture for not having enough dimension. I guess the best way to describe what I am looking for paper mini versions of stuff.
The only thing I have thus far is various treasure chests and doors. Does anyone have any recommendations?

So Saturday I had submitted a print job order for a bunch of minis and Bravesirkevin's mini bases to Fedex Office via their online service. After a bit, I got the dreaded call that they could not print the images "without a release of copyight" form. This was the first time I had this issue, and I think it was specifically from the mini bases files as they mentioned the name listed in the text at the bottom of the page.
Anyway, I was wondering, has any one else had this issue before? Does anyone have an idea exactly what they are looking for in regards to this?

Thanks for the quick responses. I am currently kicking around an idea for a 5E campaign that will have both indoor and outdoor encounters, and having swappable bases between encounters would be nice, especially if they match the terrain. I would like the meadow 25mm and 50mm bases for the outdoors stuff. Going through the base packs from the minis I bought so far and what I did download from your website a couple months ago, I have a 25mm damaged flagstone, and a 50mm non damaged flagstone file. Is there a 25mm non damaged flagstone or 50mm damaged flagstone options?

I apologize for the forum necromancy here, but are these bases still available anywhere? Unfortunately, the Papercraft Dungeon is down for revamping, and that killed all the links. I sent an email through the website, but got no response.

Here's my 2 cents on the topic. In terms of glue, I usually use whatever glue stick I can find. Currently, I am using either the large purple elmer school glue stick, or a smaller craft bond grade glue stick from Elmer. In terms of how long the glue sticks last for me, I've got a whole box of minis here that I used glue sticks on about 6-9 years ago, and they are still holding together.
As for printer type, I have settled for whatever FedEx Office uses for their printing. Especially considering whatever online coupon I find at the time of ordering, it seems to cost only a hair extra to have them print the stuff instead of at home, and a FAR superior quality in my opinion.

I know we prefer our minis here with one less dimension than the rest of the world, but in case anyone does use "normal" minis and missed this, Reaper is doing another Bones Kickstarter. Its a pile of minis for a decent price, at least for 3d minis. Reaper MIni's Bones IV Kickstarter

So I have been going through all my paper mini files, and started a spreadsheet for what figures would be good from which sets. It is saved to my google drive, and I am posting the editable link in case anyone wants to add to it or make recommendations This is specifically for warband minis; I will do a monster one later. For a mini set to get put on the list, I am asking for basic OneMonkian standards (25-30mm scale, different front and back art, thick outline border). Race should be humanish for normal generic warbands. Someone could easily build a warband from lizardfolk or orcs easily enough, and Frostgrave rules can work with it, but that should probably be its own list. Ideally, I would like to have at least 3 seperate sources, so 3 different warbands could be built without people having the same minis on the field. Just a few quick notes on the equipment shorthand 1h - any one handed melee weapon, type doesn't matter 2h - any 2 handed melee weapon, type doesn't matter leather - any light armor is fine, including chain or so mail - any heavy armor is fine, plate or heavy mail or so. Thanks in advance for any assistance in this. Frostgrave Warband Mini sources

I thought these we're lost forever. The original scans we're on a hard drive that died ages ago, and have of these links are dead. However, last night while looking for my old papercraft supplies, I found the original colored sheets in a box of stuff still uncut. Once I can get to a working scanner, I'll repost these via more reliable hosts

I will need to check those patreons out. Patreon really seems to be a good route for producers, at least in theory. I am just not sure how many people on Patreon are really into papercraft gaming.

I like the art, but the mirrored art and side profile being different than every other mini I have would bug me too much to use. As an aside, it does make me realize that side profile is definitely a way to go when minis use mirrored art. It makes it less noticeable. I realized during my mini file sort that a T-Rex skeleton mini in one of the early Hoard files is that way. I used that mini every excuse I could years ago without even realizing its mirrored art. Frostgrave Egypt looks great!

So during my frostgrave quest, I discovered a couple different people with Patreons for maing paper minis. The ones I came currently following do them with front/back art and black outline (or at least build in options for it into the PDF). The names of them are: PrintableHeroes, Paper Forge, and Stuart Robertson. Two questions: 1 - are any of these our people here? and 2 - does anyone know of any others?

Frostgrave is what brought me back to papercraft gaming. I discovered Frostgrave about a month ago, and after reading through the book, I became very excited to try to play it. Now I just need to convince the rest of my social circle. I am assembling a "demo kit" and going from there. FrostgraveFor those unfamiliar with it, it's kind of a Mordheim style game where there is this city that was magically frozen for years, and now has dethawed. Players control a wizard running a warband and raiding the ruins of the city for the usual wealth, fame, and magical bits. I am currently reaquiring my paper mini collection and sorting through what I have to find appropriate models for the warbands. After that, the next step is terrain. I currently am looking at the Ravenfell line from Fat Dragon games, since it has an option for snowy textures. Does any body have any recommendations? Also, I am noticing a severe lack of humans armed with crossbows in my mini assortment. There is one or two in the Imperfect collections in Dryws gallery, but that is all I have found. The game does differentiate them from traditional archers, otherwise I'd have plenty. Any help is much appreciated!

Hello everyone!
I joined this site ages ago, but for one reason or another, life caused me to take a small bit of a hiatus from a lot of my hobby stuff; about 8 years or so. However a couple new games brought me back to hobbying, and so I have returned!
It is good to see the community here still thrives.
