It's a longshot but here goes:
Up until recently I figured my friend had everything for the most part related to Warhammer Quest. However, there seems to be a few heroes that were published as semi official in Citadel Juornals that I cannot find, that were not published in the Bloodbowls. I have found stuff for the Ex blood bowl player and the Bounty Hunter, but I am still looking for the Outlaw published in Journal #33. If anyone knows where I can find the info for it, I would greatly appreciate it.

I did a test build and the red dragon looks great. Out of curiousity, I scaled it up 300% in GIMP as an experiment, and it worked really great! The red is not quite as dark, and theres no pixelation. The texture on the scales stands out pretty well, too. It's about the size needed for a huge dragon in DnD terms, so it will make a great stand in until the rest of the dragons are finished.
Keep it up!

Wow these are looking great so far! I can't wait to see what the others are going to look like!
As far as becoming an affiliate I think that's a wonderful idea! Your style of artwork is highly compatable with Jim's, and I have been very fond of your work since you started posting figures.
Keep up the great work!

This guy is going to be great! I already see him filling the role of a bloodthirster/gargoyle for my WHQ/Heroquest games.

Looks like the sheriff is preparing to clean up the town, starting in the saloon. I just have one question: how does a wild west era saloon serve cold beer?

Well I just finished building this guy and I just have to say... wow! It looks great! My only cmment would eb to agree with OMB and reduce the border on the front. As for the star, it seems to be about the right size on the figure.
Keep up the great work!

Oh heck yeah! I loved (actually still do) that game. I just busted out my cards a few weeks ago and got that feeling all over again. I hear they're remaking the game... not sure if it's a complete redo or just a reboot. I know there's a cartoon that is pretty well received... here's to more of that AWESOME game! onemonkeybeau where did you hear of this? Last I heard, the company who owned magination went under a while back and no one knew of anything else.

This model worked great tonight as a paper stand in for WHQ's imperial noble. We do have the original metal mini, but since we've been using paper for monsters, I have been looking for appropiate or semi appropiate paper minis and this one fill the bill quite nicely.

Hey Kricket! The more I look at this guy the more I like him... I finally figured out why I like your drawing style too... your style reminds me of an old CCG I used to play called MagiNation. I always loved to artwork on those dang cards and have always thought the characters would make excellent cardfigs. Keep 'em coming, my friend... keep 'em coming! onemonkeybeau OMG!!! Somebody else has played magination! It was a prettty big game for me and a few friends. One friend was a registered judge up until the company went bankrupt

Thanks OMB, I gotta try that stuff. I changed my basing style a bit and am just glueing 2 sheets of black cardstock together and punching out with a craft hole punch, and that stuff would be perfect. It might also be good for mounting Empty Room Studios' tile printouts to foamcore once I get around to it.
I also just recieved Blick's catalogues in the mai a couple days ago, and I will see if it's listed there later. The catalogues are a good size, completely free, and I got mine in the mail pretty quickly, so they seem like they will be a good resource lying around.

Thats a great start, and you have utmost good timing. Some of my group started a classic deadlands campaign and we are in desperate need of some figs for it. No one in my group is a big fan of the official or semi official tri fold minis for deadlands. So as soon as you finish and release the set it will IMMEDIATELY be assembled and put to good use!

Looks great! My only comment is on the knees. Thie spikes need a black outline, as they get blended into the rest of the knee otherwise.

I really like the look of the figure, but he does look like he should have more hair. It comes off like he has a receding hairline, or maybe a gnome with a fake beard on...
I do indeed love the whole "hammering one's initials into heads of one's enemies" bit. The runes are a nice touch.
The only other bit of critique would be to make the hammerheads a little bigger. Currently his fists seem to be larger than the hammers.
Keep up the good work!

I ended up ckecking out the local fedex formerly known as kinko, and they do sell the individual transpariences. However, despite repeated claims from teh guy behind teh counter, they seem to be not for inkjets (the guy kept saying "they're for laserjets, so its ok for inkjets too." I really should have taken the time to teach him better). Even a few days after printing, the ink easily rubs off. However, a friend of mine has a b&w laser printer and I will have him print it out when I get to his house on sunday.

ok one more question: the blast template says to print the grid part onto transparency, but is there an alternative for transparency paper for the same effect? From what I have seen, it costs 35 to 50 bucks for a pack of inkjet transparencies, but that is a little... high to printout 1 piece for a $20 print n play game. Currently I am thinking regular paper and a lot of fried chicken grease, but I somehow don't see this working all that well...
If there is no good alternative, is there a place I can get only a couple sheets or something?

Out of curiousity, has anyone tried to scale these ladies from 15mm to 30mm just by using the scale tool in gimp or photoshop or something?
I'd try it but my remaining printer ink is currently reserves for the rest of the gun crawl stuff I am printing out.

I just wanted to point out that ERS's newest tile set (the putrid pits I think it's called ( www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=62776)) contains 1 new paper fig (2 if you want to count the extra tentacles but I think thats susposed to be a terrain piece). It's called a fetid horror and is a large (in DND terms) green slimy icky thing on 2 legs and a bunch of tentacles for a left arm. It looks really nice and fits right in with the previous cthuluhish monster set they released a couple months back. $7.99 might seem a bit high for one figure, but considering the tiles that come with it, it's not too bad

When/If I get the time, I'm gonna try to do something with the squig. Its one of the few monsters in warhammer quest that I do not have an appropiate or semi-appropiate paper fig for, and 6 of em poped up in a game the other night. All we have is one metal squig hound, and its just not quite enough....

just was curious. If there's enough of a difference in the sets, I might pick them up later on, once I get through building and assembling Jim's sci fi stuff first. I haven't had a reason til now to use any of the sci fi figs, so I have yet to build them.

I wouldnt mind getting ahold of the line art.
As for suggestions, I have a couple and it goes back to all the HQ stuff: the chaos sorceror and the gargoyle.
The gargoyle makes a great substitution for a bloodthirster and its hard to find the gargoyle these days with wings intact. The chaos sorcer is nearly essential for any HQ game, since it was the stand in for every major NPC.
Mummys would also be nice as they would round out anything that can't be easily duplicated by Jim's stuff, but the mummy wasn't as iconic as the other 2. Chaos warriors would be the same, but Jim's evil knights, while not QUITE the same, are a close enough substitution.
