well. Aaron the amount of time you spent for making a character is not typical. If your GM would have chosen a rules lighter system like some old school rpgs on the market (eg labyrinth lord) then character making would have lasted maybe 10minutes.

Well I am playing rpgs since several decades now and I think the simple approach of D&D is good intro into the hobby. (at least 1st, 2nd and 4th edition - 3rd edition of course not)
In this sense a fun and easy dungeon crawl is fine because not every adventure can be (and is in fact) like enemy within and not every player likes the intense playing style which such campaigns requires.

so I just bought several sets of your line and here is my honest feedback. IMO the quality of your minis from a graphical PoV is perfect. Price tag and shipping time even over the Atlantic where I live was outstanding.
Nonetheless I would not buy another set in your 28mm scale because unfortunately they are 20% too small to fit with the rest of my collection. (those tiny heads of the agents) So please if you design another set could you use the modern standard of 30mm? Thanks.

Im also playing WOW. Given its popularity I am always wondering WHY noone of our gifted artists is interested to make paper minis of typical World of Warcraft monsters and adventurers. It has by far the largest fantasy community on this planet.
I am sure that if the minis are looking good one could convince the blizzard guys to licence it for a small fee or even for free. And I am also sure, that even if only a small fraction of 8 mio WoW players are buying such official WoW minis (for whatever purpose) there is a little bit money in it.

IMO the quality of your minis is not only the perfect stance and execution of the figs. Its also the hidden (and sometimes open) humor which one can find inside them. And of course I absolutely love your easter eggs. Alone because of the easter eggs and the LOLs I have every time after looking at them, I bought your whole retro SF line. Please go on (and on, and on) with your great work.

how about bigger number font? At first glance the font seems rather small compared to the icon boxes. For example how you could do it look at the font size in descent 2 in comparision to the icons. These are large and easy to see.

Nice. Are minis included in these new books? Then that would be an instant buy for me.

I would avoid to put the numbers in front of the mini so that it is covered. The minotaur is beautiful drawn and it would be sad not to see him fully.

The Roaches are an absolutely fantastic idea. how about the following:
-robot policemen and robot investigators? -futuristic bountyhunters some with animal heads (eg frogmen, gorillas and dogmen) -space monsters

All these Donalds are really creative and cute. But do you still plan to continue your other (fantasy and SciFi) lines too? That would be phantastic!

well I think it depends if you ever want to look for the rules during a game or not. So if they are very complex, the danger that you have to look for a feat or grapple rules or those nizzifizzi demon special ability during the game session is VERY high. IMO the game time should be used for potraying a story and character acting and absolutely not looking for any rules. (and I really mean ANY even looking only once is too much) The old red D&D book from the 80ties never forced us to look for the rules during the session, while 3.5/PF did it all the time, sometimes even twice in one single session! Especially if you had a feat or spell which was so complex that you could not remember if you dont play regularly. That was an intolerable situation for us. The the change to the simple and easy BRP and later lablord was inevitable and a gift. The question we posed to us was: why using such a complex system when others more easy ones are on the market which are hitting our mark what a rpg should comprise in a better way? 2009 I detected Savage Worlds which was also very nice to play and very fast. But after playing it very intensely till 2014 I detected it has also some drawbacks (eg. looking for rules during sessions because its not that easy to play like eg lablord) and the danger of putting up monumental combats with more than 50+ participants, so probably we change back again with our campaign to lablord or another retro clone next months.

IMO any game with more than 100 A4 pages of rules is too complex. And PF rule set has many thousands of pages (with the optional rule books) Luckily there is a beginners box with only 60 pages. Its not complete because it lets you play only to level 5 but at least its more simple than the standard PF. For those who think that even the PF beginners box is too cumbersome I think the way to go is either lablord or the new D&D5 which looks quite simple at the first glance. (but its only in beta atm)

Reivaj, I just added the mushroomans, the catfolk and the absolutely amazing elves from you to my collection and I will assemble them ASAIC. I hope you will not give up because of economical reasons. Your minis are really great and it would be a substantial loss for all if you quit.

GW of today is a geniused bunch of greedy idiots. Their main business now is not making great games as it was in the 90ties but holding IPs of questionable fascist ideologies. I would happily rejoice if they go finally the way of the dodo and close their business.
