thank for the heads up but i have most of the Permes sets. If I can't find anything suitable I'll try to mod something to fit my needs or go with a "coalition" approach. I'll just have the classic "Conan" barbarians be the main bulk and driving force behind the army and have the archers and cavalry be hired mercenaries from the more "mongol"parts of the fantasy world.

yes I have that set too and while it has provided many useful figures the only one armed with a bow has a very "mongol" look too him.Thank you both for the replies

pretty much all in the title. The only mounted barbarians i have found were more "mongol" style and those were the small ones at junior general. has anyone done any mods of existing figs like the Sanity Studio ones?

thanks guys. I think i may have found what I was looking for. Between stuff at Streetpaper.de the convoy set and some Czech 1/100 scale stuff I think I'll be able to coble something useful together.

I think I might try to mod convoy model to look a little less Sci-Fi. thanks again for suggestions.

this was the test i did. I had to really adjust the parts and am still fiddling with the scale but to be honest I just am not happy with the results.

I have and love his sets but I tried to blow them up and they just didn't work out too well. I'm thinking that 1/100 would be the smallest that I can blow up and have them look reasonably well on the table. Thanks for taking the time to post the link though.

It's me again. has anyone come across any simple Stryker,M-113 or US military trucks (2.5 ton, HEMET etc.) that are around or that can be converted to 28-30mm scale? I'm not looking for paper models to display but simplified versions for use with figures.

Does anyone know of decent 2 sided street cop minis? Free or pay is less of an issue to me but i just can't find your run of the mill beat cop armed with a pistol or shotgun.

It was 'sci-fi" move made in Japan. It was more recently the subject of a MST 3000 episode. I was thinking that the bad guys would be a great inspiration for a set of Retro Space figures.

Something I was thinking about was the Modrons of Nirvana. very simple shapes but lots of scope to add a personal touch.

I would love to see some women characters that had less 'traditional" body types. Less super model with impossibly proportioned breasts or huge muscle bound arms and maybe a few thicker/stockier types.
