By the reviews, the system is purely narrative, without GM, dice and almost without rules. Doesn't seem to be a way to use miniatures in it. Myself, I'm using these with SJG's Tales of the Solar Patrol.

Oh yes, I really love Okumarts figures. I suppose they won't be to everyone taste, because they are a little "cartoonish". But it is the way I like figures. I have already used some of them in my games.

Nice! Now, that sort of grass on your bases.... what is it? What material?

bhoritz, thanks for the kind words! I really love the photo. What is the set?

The set is made from worldworks caves. They are less red and more brownish than in the picture. The bases were the first I made this way, they are made from a foamcore sheet upon which I have glued the parts that were cut from my battlemat (I needed 4'X6' and the battlemat was much larger). It was a few years ago and I am afraid I don't know anymore where I did order it.

It looks like you get a similar effect with felt glued to foamcore

Oh yes, it is just a way to use unused stuff. Though felt is a little more flat, but difference doesn't really matter. I have also been using self sticking felt sheets for making bases.

It looks good in any case. If you would edge your models with a marker, they would look superb.

The actual name for this game will be Retro Rockets In Space. I have been playing with fonts for this all week and I'm just not happy with the In Space bit. Work in Progress.

The logo looks a little cool (in terms of color) and static in spite of the italics. You might want to punch it up with the tag line, "IN SPACE!", in a zippy font and a warm color like orange or yellow.
Just an onservation. I know whatever you do, it's gonna look good!
Have fun! Steve

Yes, I like too. Very much. Great! space pirates or space adventurers like these: Ok these are "pulp" and not "retro sci-fi" but ... PS: space amazons are lost?

Space Amazons are on the way, just need to make them more... fetching. They ended up looking way too plain for my tastes. I wanted to give them a bit more character. Just working on the bonus material for the Retro Space set 4 tonight. Not long now. Previews in 24 hours!

Exceptional, Mr. Okumarts! They remind me a lot of pulp science fiction characters ( Buck Rogers ... more than Flash Gordon ) but ... www.hydraminiatures.com/index.shtmlshop.hydraminiatures.com/index.php?cPath=2( these are your previous set, "Space Patrol" ;D ) www.hydraminiatures.com/downloads.shtmlabsolutely lovely ( your preview ). PS: If someone is interested ... Rockets and Rayguns!
Cosmic Patrol is a roleplaying game set in a retro future based on the Golden Age of science fiction. If you’ve ever seen a cover from a classic 1930s-1960s sci-fi pulp magazine, you’ve got the idea. You and your friends form the crew of a Cosmic Patrol rocketship and blast off for action and adventure in the wild galaxy.
In Cosmic Patrol, players take the role of Patrolmen—the first and last line of defense for humans in a dangerous galaxy. Patrolmen explore, discover and defend the interests of humans wherever they go. With an atomic ray gun at their hip, they brave the unknown on a regular basis.
Cosmic Patrol Core Rulebook Cosmic Patrol is a rules-light role-playing game by Catalyst Game Labs that is all about creating a story. Using Cues as building blocks, you will construct a plot and narrate your Patrolman’s way through the millions of threats the cosmos has to offer. Your adventure will be unique to you and your group, and you’re encouraged to write those adventures up in true pulp style, for all the world to enjoy.

What seriously is needed, and sorely missed, is a group of sparsely (as in Bikini Spacesuits) dressed Damsels as on the old Pulp Covers.
