I am really enjoying the 'fluff'-creation of this setting. I'm considering doing a webcomic set in the retrospace universe and maybe even a Space Hulk style boarding party game (like Katana Schoolgirls in scope). Any ideas or interest? I agree with Parduz. A SpaceCrusade/StarQuest-like game is the best for me.

I worked on this design a year ago. Much more where this came from.

Space Pirate Lander. It rams into targeted rocketships and then uses the saw nose to dig in for boarding.

Sitting in the tub today I finally figured out how to make 3d deckplans for a hulk skulk I wanted to make for retrospace (or any other sci fi game). It's only been on my mind for 15 years and it seems like such an obvious approach. Sheesh...

It would be nice to see a set of pirates or ne'er-do-wells specifically for the Trek universe. It would be really nice to see Harcourt Fenton Mudd or the crew of the Botany Bay.
As it is those pirates will definitely feel the displeasure of the Federation.

I'm hoping to get this out in the next day or so. Life keeps rearing its ugly head. After this it's the minis for the winners of the papercut awards and then the booster expansion set for Katana Schoolgirls. Busy busy...

Great, great, great set. As always. I love this your "retro-space" series. And objectively there are all reasons, Great artworks, great characterization, great poses. Many figures. so many options ... And a bonus set that is getting used too good the buyers ... Eleven other ( very great ) original figures, I think. Another complete set for free indeed. So thank you very much David. You are one ( among a few ) real supporting producers for this kind of product. Thank you again. I also really like your series' own personal management. Now, for your retro-space series, I think there are all the major factions, except for one. I hope you haven't abandoned the idea of drawing this one. Subsequently might be interesting expansions for already published series.

Thanks so much Rhannon. You are aways observant and kind. Yes, the Space Amazons should be next. I've been struggling with how to present them in a way that is consistent with the source material (early 20th century pulp sci fi) AND contemporary (not sexist). I think I have a good sense of what I am going for and should have something in the new year. I'm also interested in expanding a few alien types such as the ocopoids and the small headed snail guys in the recent set. There have also been calls for a more hard sci fi line which I will admit I am intrigued to attempt. Ultimately I want to make Retrospace into a game or at least a supplement for an existing game. I think this era of sci fi is full of wonder and fun and I don't want to give it up quite yet. The original Star Wars films had the same 'feel' to me as did Original Star Trek when you come right down to it. Next up though, I have some contest winner minis to draw.

If you do a set of space dwarves, I think they ought to be asteroid miners!
Have fun! Steve

What kind of Species would you like to have me expand or introduce to the Retro Space setting?
Existing Species: Canid (dog people) (from RS6 bonus page) Dvarn (space dwarves) (from RS6 bonus page) Felin (cat people) Human (human) Imperiax (blue skinned, pointed ears, space elves) Invaders (helmeted invaders from beyond space and time) Octopoid (From RS4 bonus page) Robot (from RS4 bonus page) Skelm (lizard guys) Spirod (Those yellow slug like things from RS6 bonus page)
Anything else you'd like to see?

Then some more Humans, more like in the RS6.
Looking forward to that Retro-space Rockets stuff too!

I'd love to see something insect like, maybe a more bipedal version of the Vrusk from star fronties. I bet your dynamic style would look great with something that has multiple spindly arms and legs. I kinda like those slug guys though.

Can I invite you to see Niklas Janson art and concepts for remakes of space games from the 8bit era? StarflightStar ControlMaster of OrionM.U.L.E.and othersI'm a big fan of Master of Orion, so insectoids (klackon) and bird-folk (alkari) are missing. Maybe dark robed figures too?
