OK Glenn you've been watching too much CNN. This would be good for any Ork player.

Dark charcoal gray body with yellow trim? Slightly distressed textures. I say charcoal gray, because using a black body with black detail lines doesn't work well. As far as markings go, something simple like B-1, A-2 etc in yellow.

The 3D pieces are only on the roofs, so you can still nest them. It's the sides you need to keep clean.

First unit with the 3D elements added. The second unit is now designed and printed out and I hope to get it assembled tonight. I designed the first two units as large rectangular foot prints, but the others will have a smaller square foot print. My progress has been slow, I'm having trouble staying on focus. So I'm probably getting to my end of my paper phase for a while. When I get this done and the weapon's upgrade for the Turkey Vulture, I'll probably take a break for a time.

I made mini potato chip bags by stuffing cotton balls into them. You may have to add glue tabs along the sides though?

Well that went fast. Basic building is done, so now I can figure out what items to glue to it.

Thanks guys. I do have That Shuffler system and almost designed some tiles to use in Gun Crawl, but ended doing those 2.5D tiles for it instead.. I don't have the software for doing layered pdf, so I could do a transparent png file with decals on it. I'm trying to get better by drawing more of my details myself. I still use CG Textures a lot, but eventually I want to get good enough that I don't need images like the lights or vents I modified. So I have the test model 95% done and it all fits well. Maybe pictures later.

Thanks Hackbarth, I tried Googling info on it last night and could only find ways to fold wax paper for lunch sandwiches.

If you are having trouble assembling the miniatures. See image below as an example. You need to lightly score along the red line with a sharp blade. You want to only weaken the paper along the red line, not cut it in half. Then fold along the red line. Next glue the front and backs together. After it dries, you can cut the miniatures from the paper. If you are having trouble designing them, that is harder to explain. I draw out the front first. Next I make a copy of the front and then draw the back directly on top of it. This way I know the two sides will line up. Once you have both sides finished, you have to be very careful when joining the two sides. I use an alignment line I draw on the front when I start a new miniature. I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but I can make one up if this is an area you having problems with? Attachments:

I just wanted to post some progress. These are decals I made up so I can just copy and paste them to the walls where needed. The buildings will be a bit more industrial. Most of it I drew up in Gimp. The lights I modded from images and finally the vents are modified decals from CG Textures. The vents need more work.

I just use Google images and a old random word generator software in my head. Then let it take me thought all the pipes and tubes that make up the inter nets. Nothing special really, just images searches. Just avoid any links that have the word fetish in the title. ......bad things happen there. ...and once seen, cannot be unseen.

Very nice Glenn. I have been wanting to do a domed building like that, but was afraid I couldn't pull off the dome part.

My VAMPIRE BAT destroyed everything in its path... many items with a single volley! You need Warrior with Nuke launcher. It will remove that flying rodent from the sky. Bats don't like bright sun light.

I came across this site today and think it's worth a look. It has a number of old style space ships in it. Note: The site is a little bit odd, as all the links are at the bottom. Look for Early S F link at the bottom right of the page. Retro SciFi Space Ships: www.zeistbouwplaten.nl/

No awnings will interfere too much with how they stack into each other. Some will get some low profile air conditioners and do-dads on the top roofs and the area that is at 45 degrees.

I have a new set of modular SciFi Buildings in the works. It will be loosely based on this building, but instead of an arch profile it will have a truncated square side. It will nest in the same way as my other buildings for storage. This is a very early image and will get more details added.

I want to mod this into a whole shopping district. I can see a noodle shop on the bottom and an apartment on top. All kinds of little businesses. Corner grocery shop, liquor store, pachinko parlor etc. Maybe even double wide versions.
