Phew yes.. it was about a three quater day build, its not that its complicated to build, its just got a lot of parts... and i soooo hate cutting out the parts.
you'll notice i havent added all the chimneys, guns to the turent or even the second turent yet. I got a bit impatient and just wanted to show the bad boy off.
the legs are fully posible and can be adjusted to fit any pose but i would suggest sticking it with blue tack or some other material that can be removed easier before doing the glue. I had to rip or cut bits of the legs off when i wanted to reposition them. (you can see where the printing pulled of on one of the front legs)
You cant see it in these photos but the back bottom torso is still a mess and I will do another redesign over the weekend.
hehe yes you should be able to mount any weapon on the back platform.

Ok.. first build.. lots of little issues. I need to go back and rebuild the whole bottom chasis. I made some big changes before but new problems came up. I ripped some of the printing off while repositioning the legs so its not the best example but will give you a good idea of the look and feel. I will upload photos later with a few miniatures for scale Attachments:

ok a quick update for you all...
As some of you know, this is the first model i have created in years. Some day I might tell them whole hellish story i have been through with Miniature-games.com
Anyway since starting the model I have had such an amazing welcome, feedback and support that have ended up creating my real first set of figures as well.
The model is in the final stages of texturing, 2 "Sons of Holmes" (man with top hat and lady with sword) figures have been completed and 6 unique poses of the "Moriarty shock troopers" have been drawn and needs colouring. Ill flip them so there will be about 12 troops when completed.
Im then planning on adding troops to the "Sons of Holmes" army and some named / command figures to the "Moriarty army"
I have not yet decided to whom the spider crawler belongs, but my next models will likely be a all terrain steam train, some form of robot troopers, some form of areal vehicle and then along the line some houses and bases...
a back story and game has been brewing out of all of this... All I can say its based on events after the "murder" of sherlock holmes by the hands of Moriarty.
Not sure if you guys know the mythology and stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but Sherlock Holmes disappeared and was believed to have been killed by Moriarty. His body was never found...
first set of figures should be out next week with the spider crawler following soon after...

wow thanks everyone for the feedback and encouragement! it really really helps a lot... Please keep the suggestions coming, im amending the figures as we go along.
I must say i am liking the world war one helmets more as well as the gas masks. I'm going to rework some of the heads and faces...
Is there any other poses you guys think will be cool to do for this set?
I want to bring in an officer or "named" figure as well.

Thanks Reivaj... I like dark muted colours and it tends to show in my work.
For now the QR code is just linking to miniature-games.com but im planning on having it link to either video instructions or photo follow along instructions.. ive not totally decided what im wanting to do.

I realised I was putting more and more time into these figures and wanted to take a quick stop to see what they will actually look like printed out to scale. I suspected i might loose some details but to my surprise I didnt ;D you will also see an unfinished version of the shock trooper (thanks kiladecus for the advice on the trooper ) Also on the final stretch of the Spider Crawler, should be ready to build this week :-D Attachments:

LOL ok... never realised there was a term for it.. OK took everyone's fantastic feedback on board and made some small changes to the model. I have also thrown in a few different dress colours. I still think red works the best. I really appreciate everyone's feedback, It really helps to be able to tap into experience pool, This is the first paper figure i have designed with the purpose of designing a figure. I have a male one in the works as well.. will upload soon Attachments:

Thanks for the advice!! Im not normally a "figure maker" im more of a model designer. This is the first time I actually set out to create one, the others were drawings and concepts I have done for online videos and games that I just popped onto a base. Ah yes I do actually have a back for her... have a look.. flattened out the feet.. but erm im not sure what "THO" is?

I was actually thinking of starting a new video series on youtube that shows the assembly of paper models and tips and tricks. however having test builders and someone photographing it will be very helpful!... I want to see LOTS of pictures of how its used and in game play's hehe know all about the wife complaining about space, I recently moved countries (well a year ago) and it seemed like an opportune moment to "loose" the box with the models in. Hence no photo updates on my miniature-games.com website... but its ok, they were gathering dust for a few years.

Thank you!! ;D I think my textures have improved since the last model I did... hmm i think it might be a bit bigger than i anticipated. I did a quick one page print just to see if the textures will print out ok and if the parts are big enough and it seems a bit big. This is just one leg. I might shrink it down slightly when im finished. Unshrunk the main platform will be able to carry about 6 (squad) 30mm figures. I'll have to make the shadows a bit darker as well, they dont quite pop in print as they do on screen.

Thanks Guys ;D texturing is taking a looong time.. but i think it will be worth it.. Well the tip of a leg above without the brass joint (textured image) is about 1/4 A4 so the whole model should be around 200mm high and about 250mm deep... But ill not know for sure till the first build which i normally do before texturing but due to the size and complexity im skipping for now. At the moment its 9 A4 pages, I dont see that changing as its 9 packed pages. here is one of the leg pieces ive been working on today:
