Oops. That was a mistake...I was goofing around with the saturation and colour profile and didn't even notice it affected the background. I'll fix that...and pay more attention next time. And the ramp is here: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/more-laketown-dock-bits-ramp-and-bridge.htmlGM. PS Afet: I've had a few ideas for a larger buildings. Something along the line of a viking longhouse (google Ale Viking) and also something more like a Stave Church (or stavkirke).

A ramp with tabs....that actually sounds like it would work.
My solution is blue sticky-tac. You know....the stuff they use at schools to stick kid's artwork to the wall....? Looks like blue playdough.
A little piece of that on the bottom of a figure (metal or paper) will stop it from sliding around the board, and will temporarily "stick it" to a sloped surface.
And yeah, ladders were part of the plan but they got forgotten along the way somehow. I'll do some at some point.
As for making different sized bits...that's why there's one page with just the textures. Mounting them on heavy cardboard, you could make any size you want.... For a larger area, I was thinking you could take a box (like one of those computer paper boxes), cut it around the edge at the right height, turn it over and texture the bottom. Then use the high docks around the outside. Would certainly give the illusion of the whole thing being on posts....

I think you're thinking about the dark ages fort. It's on another thread here in my "area".
The gate tower is a log cabin like structure...kinda similar to that house.

I guess I'll start it off with this Elven Canoe from LOTR: The floor is 3.75 inches by 1.25 inches, so scale appropriately. Hope you like, GM.

Thanks.
My personal take is that the internet was not invented for commerce, but for the sharing of ideas. I've got nothing against trying to make money, that's just my own personal opinion. I have a feeling though, that in an age with the entire world connected by a high speed network, coupled with instantaneous perfect fideltiy digital reproduction, the idea of intellectual property is becoming unenforceable...maybe even obsolete.
And besides, someone on FatDragon's board said my stuff "isn't professional quality". Maybe I should start charging, just to find out, eh?

Here's the first Laketown House: Like I said, Laketown is gonna be a kinda Norse styled place, so the first house would definitely look at home in a Viking town or homestead as well. The curved roof is a little funky, just make sure to glue the roof tabs to the beam. inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/laketown-house-number-1.htmlI've got a wagon coming up next, based on this: as soon as I get a photo..... Hope you like, GM PS: The officer with the pistols was from a promotion I did for a play. There was one for each cast member to use as web-page icons. They would make for a good set of pirates, and one day I plan to put backs on them..... And yeah...Dave's stuff is the best, isn't it? And Vermin King....you can always drive on the wooden docks...at your own risk, of course....

LakeTown Bridge and Ramp Bits: So there's all the Pier bits together. The final texturing is a faded weathered grey like the bridge. So you can mix and match and come up with any size set you want. Anyone want to make a 4x8 foot table top layout? Just think of the epic coolness of that..... Here's the link for the last bits: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/more-laketown-dock-bits-ramp-and-bridge.htmlHope you like, GM. PS, next comes the viking like buildings.....

Here's another one: the city bus. Pretty simple build. The long white bits are reinforcement beams for the four long sides. (same as with the schoolbus). Makes the model a little tougher. Here it is: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/city-bus.htmlGM. PS: yeah, I've got a pretty big list of possibilities with this set: flatbed, dumptruck, gravel truck, tractor-trailor.... They're on the to-do list, but gonna have to wait a little. I do have a box-truck ready to go today though.

The garbage truck is done: But I changed it to red, and I covered it in crap. It was kind of a rushed job, and not exactly the kind of texturing I'm really familiar with, so I hope it works for you guys. Let me know what you think. (it looks a lot different than the picture...) Get it here: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/garbage-truck.htmlGM

The rear tires are finished the same way as all the other car models.
I guess they do look a little funny on the print sheet...when the tire's folded up, you do get a bit of the 3d illusion.
Red or Green trash truck, huh....? That might be possible.....

Here's the next LakeTown bit: Just a spacer for the high dock, so you can have a continous post/cross-beam/post/cross-beam/post look to the thing. There's also a few larger bits of the planking texture in it for making larger flat "interior" sections if you're tired of building endless high docks. Here's the link: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/laketown-more-dock-bits-spacers.htmlRamps and bridges next. GM

Here it is, the first part of my LakeTown project. The dock platforms. Pretty straightforward. One high, one low (not pictured here, but its in the PDF). They're textured...weathered grey boards...but I'm not gonna set up for photo's until I have enough bits to make a decent scene...coming soon though..... There's other bits to come: ramps, bridges, buildings...but you've got to put them someplace so we'll build the platforms first. Here's the link: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/laketown-dock-platforms.htmlHope you like, GM

It's not really a "new" boat.
Just the one I posted a while ago with a few updates and some new graphics.
But I'm getting close to putting up my laketown docks and the big knarr boat, so I did some packaging graphics...and started with the old one.
Hopefully there will be a few new Laketown bits and boats up here soon.

Last actual car for a while, the Pony Car. (mostly a Mustang, but has a few little Camaro like bits) Sorry, no actual pic, but I'm now out of ink and the only build I have is one of those strange, smeary, out-of-ink, WTF-colour-was-that-? colour. Here's where to get it: inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/06/pony-car.htmlHope you like, GM. PS, if there are no cows in space, then what's the deal with all the space cowboys....?
