I went to our local general store and emporium to buy myself a sketch pad, and while I was looking about the stationery department I saw it, - hanging right there among the pencils. At first I couldn't believe what I'd seen, but there it was....a....a. Fairy Eraser!
Oh it looked completely innocent with a smiling picture of a fairy on the packaging, - only I could see it for the diabolical weapon that it was. Without hesitation I purchased it and swiftly returned home whereupon I locked the foul thing away in a coffer then buried it deep beneath the Rosemary bush in my garden.
So be vigilant and watch for this evil because all Fairy-kin may be in danger.

Thanks, VK! They even provide a pronunciation guide in that great little model: Eyjafjallajökull * pronounced Aya-feeyalla-yurkul Yes that's one name you'd need to have your teeth in to say properly

What an impressively beautiful building and all the interior details...... This has to be paper modelmaking at its finest.

I just had to boast about share this I've finally been able to track down a Lego Hobbit series minifig of Tauriel to add to my Elf army. I know Peter Jackson has taken liberties with the Hobbit storyline, but still find myself liking the movie version of Tauriel. I'm working on putting together a band of skirmisher/scout Elves for my Lego Elf army and I wanted the Tauriel minifig to be a part of it. I also picked up one of these minifigs. Nothing like having a good and steadfast British constable to keep an eye on the dice rolls and generally supervise to ensure fair play

These are fun minis with a nice simple style. Deranged cultists and drunken peasants are always good to have as a standby.

Congratulations to all the participants, and to old squirmydad for a well run contest! It is a bit sad that we have more than 2000 members but less than 50 voters. +10 for Squirmydad I agree about the lack of voters though as it would've been really interesting to see how the contest would've gone with a larger voter turnout.

I've got a project underway that needs big insects so I'm very interested in this kind of 2.5D paper modelling. I'm not entirely sold on 2.5D for smaller sized biped figures, but it seems to be fine for larger minis.

He looks very good indeed. Did you do this on regular paper or cardstock? My impression from the website was that if you do your creases well enough you won't need glue. I'm probably going to use Krazy Glue on mine, and brush some in the interior to give it extra strength. I am not surprised that it is no longer yours. That is one really nice dragon, - I think I'd be keen to lay claim to it too if I thought I'd get away with it

They're certainly interesting pieces. I wonder about printing them out and hand colouring them before scanning them back into a printable format.

That was one of the things I found with Lego gunboats, - a lot of space was needed. Mostly my gunboats ended up being at anchor providing fire support.

I changed my pledge to $50.00 from $25.00, but I really would have liked to keep the PDFs from the $25.00 pledge. Is there a way that I could do this?

Because that's what gamers do:) (Seriously, it soon mounts up, and there's little point if they never get used). That was my worry Mister C. I could see all this stuff arriving from the kickstarter and it ending up in the half dozen large storage crates in the garage along with all my other redundant gaming minis and terrain pieces. I'd already subscribed to Dave's 'Darkfast Dungeons' kickstarter and really that's going to do all I want for the foreseeable future.
