Jim: I'm glad you like the coloring, wouldn't want to ruin your favorite in the bunch with bad colors. I am also surprised you haven't said anything about its darkness, which means I still have hope that he is going to print out okay Sirrob: These turtles reach up to the middle of a human's thigh, maybe waist. The next one I'm working on only get up to his knees. I'd be intimidated if these flesh eating turtles were standing near me. I wanted to make the last turtle sort of look like a rose, I think I succeeded, if the shell looks like it is alive --like a plant is alive. Steve: I believe if they get someone to cook it for them, they would enjoy that soup Floyd: I cannot really raise the contrast due to the way these are shaded. Because the shades are just a layer that is (50%) opaque, colored black and white. Any difference and it is discoloring the rest. I guess bad design on my part. I can try though. Beau: I have seen gamera only on pictures. I thought the new version of him looked rather cool, but the old ones (from 50's) did not win my favor. I cannot help it I need visual appeal the rubber toys just don't do it for me. But those fangs on number 7 turtle are there because I've seen that old photo of him. Thanks for the comments guys! I'm envious! My jaw dropped to the floor! In just a few hours after my tutorial too! No need to change anything on the first horse, and big hooves are no problem, considering that it is going to be a small piece of paper that it is going to stand on. Actually Jim (OneMonk) and Jabbro as well suggests us to exaggerate the hands and legs, and forget about anatomy. But you, don't change a thing! They are amazing. I'm so so jealous of your skills, I think you are way better in drawing then I am. Let me hope that you have caught up on coloring skills too, and these are going to be... just WOW! On the last horse though, you might want to eliminate showing the "sole" of the back hoof. I don't know, what you guys think about that? Will it look like he is going to trip? I'm not sure myself Urm. I know it is not nice to pick on your English. But I'll because I had no idea what you were trying to say with the word "circumstantial". I blame your dictionary, but it wants to mean "filled with too much details". Just so people understand what you meant. And no I don't think that these paper figures are too busy with details. I'm so proud of you! Hey everyone she is my sister! Anita

Bryn: *Anita jumps up and down with you and squeal like a piggy.* I'm so happy with it too. Jabbro, not as great as your green dragon Beau: Yeah, I know it looks dark. I really want to see how it prints before I make it lighter. I don't really like it as much when I make the turtle brighter. We will see. SISTER!? Xtea! Xtea! What are you doing here so early on the forums? I thought you are working on your paper figure... this was my first thought, then Jabbro showed what he found on the forum those horses... but I'll comment on that there. As for the coloring of the matamata may surprise you even more So maybe you'll like that one better when done. I hope. Update: I would have never thought, but I like making turtles better than angels Anita

Hiya! Oh, I'm so happy how the first turtle turned out that I cannot wait to share a preview with you guys until the end of the day. It might be too dark for some tastes, but I want to see how it prints before lightening it any further. Anita

I usually don't nitpick on this forum, but I wanted to let you know what has just got to my attention. On the horse tail and on the horse's hide you've used the exact same pattern/texture as anywhere else on the figure. There are easy tricks to get hair done. Jabbro has a tutorial on this site somewhere. But it could be that after it is printed the texture is not that noticeably... silky, textile like with the folds. I hope I make sense. I'm still missing shadows on the white robes. If you get the 3/4 view figured out then you are on the right path to perfect. And congrats to your very own board Anita

Brynbrenainn: I've meant it which is your favorite in real life ;-) I thought maybe I haven't seen it, and could add it to the group. But the mutated giant sea turtle is the very bottom one, and the Galapagos turtle is the one above it. So I have covered them But it is nice to know which figure you like the best. The snapping turtle leads so far with your and Jim's vote. Thank you for the comment!

Oh, Hi Jim! ;D So you rather like traditional less mutated turtles? The model of that one was an alligator snapping turtle. Mean creatures, there is a reason to be afraid of that one in real. And thank you for the vote! Jabbro, you know you can still win the favor of optional riders. If nothing else coax me into it somehow Yay! You have finally gave your approval to the legs! Anita

Don't worry Brynbrenainn if I make riders they are going to be optional. I don't know why I wanted to draw turtles all of a sudden, but I guess it is lucky for you that I choose these guys. They are referenced after real turtles. What kind is your favorite? I have inked them. I'll edit the first post, so the thread is prettier. Have changed a few things (namely the biggest turtles. Also the mutant mata-mata turtle and indian star turtle's legs). I hope Jabbro likes them this way better I do. Thanks for bugging me with them, hubby. Anita

It is decided that it is going to be a free set. Thank it to Jim and Jabbro It's in test printing. I've already made photos of them. Squirmydad: She is going to grow into a cool lady if she prefers paper figures over barbies

I've just wanted to congratulate you on your building set. These textures are fantastic, and the fact that you've used shadows casted from unlit lamps and made me smile, it looks so good. Very nice looking paper models

Poor lego man! ;D
And I think the very first picture is a sign for a growing up director of some sort. The shade and the light hitting just the eyes adds a lot of drama for a standing figure.

Thanks for the comments guys! Still working on getting everything ready for Jim. I just cannot get a satisfactory logo design. Then of course test printing and the like. I'm sorry it's so slow going, but this is not the part I like to do. Already thinking on the designs of the new set

Lord A.W. I didn't think having white wings on angels could be an issue. It is true white with white shouldn't pop, but that is the traditional way. I'm doing a few simple color variations just for your request. Floyd: The shadow is there Again... what I've just said, white on white cannot really pop. And There is a separate wing set for your modding needs. But my favorite is the same exact wing you don't like Steve and Sirrob: Thanks for the comments guys!

Hi everyone! I have been working on the wings, and finally finished them yesterday. I started attaching them to the angels for the people who like simple 2D versions of them. Jim and onemonkeybeau: I have been making the backsides too --I haven't been skipping that. It is that I still haven't decided if I should sell them or give them as freebies. So far it looks like that people would buy it and that they suggest me not to go free. That is why I haven't posted the backsides. But they are done. i977.photobucket.com/albums/ae256/Anitangel/Angel-4.jpgOkay, okay, I'll make them 2 pixels thinner if that makes you happy. Nobody seems to complain when Jabbro is using the same settings. Anita

I'd make the lines running along its tummy thicker, for better print. The texture on the shell sounds like a good idea, my first reaction was where did those lines go from the shell But if that is going to be fixed, it is going to be a nice snail.

The color will certainly help to lift it up a bit. And I vote on the smaller design too. And it still fits a paper mini!

Very nicely done set. I'm not going to nag about the backs. If it makes fun into a chore then it takes the fun out of creating them, and probably means less figures in the end.

I like them. I could repeat Jim and ask you to do back for them, but you have already said you are on it. I like the texture, but again it needs more shading to make them pop. But that is something somebody has mentioned before me.

I'm glad you are not that angry at it anymore that you want to return it. I am surprised that it got this complicated, and that others don't have problems with cutting your stuff. I'm sorry that it cannot go easily for you to set that machine up. Wishing you good luck.
