I think you are doing well. And if Darkmook approves of your zombie I don't think you need to worry about how the reference worked out, because it is a sure sign you did very well! He is our zombie master Anita

I was actually thinking about that, but I really don't see much challange in the style --because I'm copying and not making something new and original -- and I also see problems with the --like you said copyrights. I was also trying to get my hands on some kind of guides where they actually list them and show them --no luck. But their style is awesome looking on screen I'm pretty sure it would look good on table too Anita

Sounds like the poppy fairies are popular! Jabbro doesn't like the poppy fairies too much. These girls are so cute! Thanks Magpiestear and Squirmydad for commenting! I am working on it for so long now, that I consider this my first pay-set. Just so you guys know what to expect. Anita

I'll make the GSD files if we figure out how to. It might be months though. If you want to go ahead Eric do so. For some reason though the turtles cutting files didn't work out for us. It is 3-4 pixels wider on the back. I wonder if it was because you didn't have the outlines separate from the black thick outlines? I can send you them if they help.

Hi, Welcome to the forums! Yay, another female creator ;D I do the same way --I use the light box to get the silhouette of the front view to the back. I don't know any faster way to do it, other than what you already do, skip the vector program. Because you mentioned that you are new to photoshop and you make manga drawings I thought this simple tutorial might interest you: www.howtodrawmanga.com/howtodraw/jdillon/cgmain.htmlThere are other tutorials on the site about how to draw --but I am sure you won't need that. I think russet is a good color choice for a demonic dog, don't be afraid to throw in some orangeish-yellowish highlights to the fur to make it kindda flame looking, or darks to deepen the darkness coming from the demon dog. Whatever you decide on I've found that the guys start complaining about the darkness of the figure when it reaches 85% dark gray. So you might not want to use pure black anywhere for shadows. I hope I was help you out in some way. Anita

I've told you in person I like the hand with the sword on the first better, and I like the scissor hand on the second version.

My vote is on the creamy hair horse! This one is very pretty.
My only suggestion would be to rotate the horse until the legs are on the bar.

It doesn't make the figures walk bigger distances if the stairs are steeper. But if that doesn't suit your taste, how about doing a "railing" that has the wide steps running beside the realistic steps every second step flush with one wide step. And where they meet (L shape) it could support the whole mini from the bottom)?
I'm trying to brainstorm here to help you get rid of that one problem I'm sorry if I'm annoying.

I think it breaks the flow of playing to insert cubes under the feet of miniatures it doesn't look right either, so I'd suggest you to do the first shown version of stairs. Maybe with steeper steps. Otherwise shaping up nicely.

Looks pretty good! Ther is a human legged moth eared fairy on the piccy too. Anyways when I'm making the buggy kind creatures I'll certainly use this idea.
Thanks!

The Auld Grump: I really was to make buggy fairies... s977.photobucket.com/albums/ae256/Anitangel/?action=view¤t=sketchdump2.jpgSee the guys up front? As for the human looking fairies, and fairies that can only be child size if they wish. A fairy can alter its looks by magic, so you'll never see them in real form and there is no point in arguing about their looks. I wanted to do something more interesting then dressing them up in pretty gowns, I wanted them to wear nature related clothes... like leaves and nuts, branches, fruits, flowers. So you won't see Elizabethan fairies from me --if I understand right those are the absolutely human looking ones with frilly gowns and usually human size. What is going to be in the set though that is going to be human size is the fairy queen, because she doesn't need to hide, and has enough magic to maintain her size. Also these fairies all going to have some sort of wings --dragonflies', moths', butterflies' wings I don't think feathery wing fits them too much, although I have seen some made that way. Hrm... maybe I can just provide human scale of each fairy in the pdf... and have them resized as well on different pages as planned... Ahh, this set starts to stress me out. Anita

I like the fire warrior's face better than the ice, he looks fierce. Can you make the ice warrior less bright, a different hue of blue instead of cyan, maybe? And he is going to look better. On the fire warrior is it just me or accidentally you have choose a different gray for the back than the front of the armor\chest plate? The back looks blue, and the front is gray. The shading got turned around too on the back and the front of the armor. I think because he has fire in his hand the light should come from his left therefore the shade in the back is placed to the right side. Little things overall pretty good figures. Have I told you I loved the design of the ice warrior's weapon a lot? And I think that the shoulder armor is very very well shaded and the highlight on it just makes it pop? I also like the idea of the icicle "skirt".

Theauldgrump: In the first designs there were bug fairies originally, Eric said though that my bug fairy designs do not say fairy AND I totally agree with him. Then someone (I'm lazy to look it up who) said that he'd like to see the bug creatures on their own --as bug people. Which I have no problem with. I'll do a bug set in the future. Not in this set though. Thank you for the suggestion though and the comment also that you have checked out my board.
