In some cases, I have used wood patterned paper on thick card and sliced it up into planks. The used those to make beams for buildings and things like walls and fences: That looks amazing! And so simple!

I love props sooo much. I think I'll make cutfiles for these (mostly a heads-up to mproteau (Paper Realms) who might have been thinking about it...)

I had been eyeing some of the Libkneht models for a long time now. This is a great way to let me try some out and sucker me in to buying a lot more... Same here Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using proboards

I am upset that my enjoyment of the site and that of my Godkids has been lessened or completely destroyed in their case, but I hope that in the future people realize that the choices they make really do affect others in ways they may not see. I, for one, was not aware of this effect. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry - I didn't know. Now I do. Posts deleted.

I understand the frustration of ignored PM's but I believe they also have a Facebook page for direct commentary. Posting here is a little indirect way of reaching them. It's a bit more complicated than that, I'm afraid. The group here is a very specific subset of people "connected" to LZZ - papercrafter-friends. Facebook is everyone that everyone knows. Very different audience. This stuff none of my wife and kid's and bosses business :-) Your earlier comment about the KS page was more on the mark, I think. :-)

I do like to have a functional table wherever possible. There are many of us who decide what to build based on what our game needs. :-) There are many great designers that don't get as many builds as I'd like because their focus is just a bit different. This is one of the reasons I'm so excited about my Staircase Sampler project - I get to work with lots of great folks whose models I rarely build!

When it comes to small amounts of steps, I'm a lot less fussy when it comes to lining them up to to the 1inch grid. I find 1/2 inch to be a little precarious for figure bases. Also aesthetics sometmes wins through. So here you'll find that I've averaged out the step at five within a 15ft /3sq length. I hadn't quite realised here that although the platforms line up to the grid, that every step was supposed to as well. At least I think that's what OldSchoolDM might have been saying to me on Facebook. Anyhow. I think it sort of works okay. OldSchoolDM might tweak it a little - just explaining in case you find two different versions here. Thank you *so* much for this model! There will be two versions in the kit, with one that aligns to the 1" grid. The .5" steps are OK because the figures fit underneath the staircase above and end up centering on the stair tread (check out all the photos above on this thread. :-D ) The diversity of styles in this kit will be unprecedented for terrain (but not for minis(!) that distinction goes to our very own Hordes wrangled by squirmydad!) More photos soon. Which of you designers will be next for the Designer Staircase Sampler?

Be easier to apply that pressure as a patron though I disagree. Patronage is about supporting an artist for their current work, not about hoping to change them. It's simple, I sign up as a patron for artists whose work I currently consume, not 'hope to consume'. If he doesn't want to do backs/borders, that's up to him. The only 'pressure' I can apply is to state my preferences to the artist and market, not be a pesky patron threatening withdrawal of support after the fact. Please, don't do that to your artists. Hmm. Looks like this stuff is mirror-backed only. Looks nice, but I'm picky about having backs. Posted an AMA on the tumblr asking about backs, but no reply (and there's been a post since my AMA.) If backs were on, I'd be a backer. They look great so far.

Cool! Brave Adventures submitted a staircase design I loved so much I added a new model to the kit. See this thread. Here's pictures of the two versions of this model - the smaller one that is on the "Two in One" page, and the taller one, on the new "Landing with Door" template! Of course, all the minis are from Brave AdventuresDesigner Staircase, prototype of design by Brave Adventures by Oracle Omega, on Flickr Designer Staircase, prototype of design by Brave Adventures by Oracle Omega, on Flickr Designer Staircase, prototype of design by Brave Adventures by Oracle Omega, on Flickr This larger model really would like a background sheet, so I'm providing one. :-) Designer Staircase, prototype of design by Brave Adventures by Oracle Omega, on Flickr This is the smaller - no doorway and small floor version. Same stair treads. Designer Staircase, prototype of design by Brave Adventures by Oracle Omega, on Flickr I'm so looking forward to the other submissions that are in progress.

I built it! I like it! More, more more! The quick-and-dirty cutfiles have all been revised and are all packaged together here. (I deleted the in-progress posts) Not all options are supported, so be careful using them. If you want to use other options, I've left enough pieces in there that you can probably get other versions of cutfiles up quickly. (I'm assuming someone will make "real" cutfiles for this kit when it officially comes out...) Piers Pilings and Docks.zip (124.22 KB) Now some pictures! I only build enough pieces to see how the various build options work.... This is a great set and I look forward to getting the final version from RPGNow. But, I do have one question --- What is this for and how do I cut/fold it? The diagram isn't clear to me nor do I see it in build photos so far (I think?) What are these for? by Oracle Omega, on Flickr (A few more feedback items are coming in a PM...) Piers Pilings and Docks.zip (124.22 KB)

OOH! Now I can post some of my development construction photos! jjensen - be sure to post some of your giant-build photos here... This is the most epic model I've ever built - and I only build about 1/4 of it during development... This thing is HUGE!
