I like the geometry of the truck, and I'll find the blank template quite useful. I agree, it lets the mod people customize it.

I really like the aged red paint a lot. The slate roof looks very good too.

Got to love the cardboard castle. I would have loved to have one as a kid.

I did get the engine drawn up, but I don't know if I'll build it tonight. I'm a little stiff from gardening. Middle age sucks! So the next items will be the props, bike chains and mounting frames. I think the frame will be a little bit similar to how I did the landing gear frames on the Moon Hopper. I have seen Albert Robida work over the years, but I didn't know his name. Very Jules Verne. Edit: Did some of it. Steam Engine and gearbox now done:

Anything goes inside your imagination. What are the chances of a half iron steam Zeppelin really getting off the ground.

More work done. I need to redo the fins. I'm rushing this thing to get done, so the fit my be awkward but do-able. I hope to start the engine tonight?

That works. You might need a little more detail in the hip area. A 3D or 2.5D gun would be good if you have the time for it.

They have a very Russian feel to them. Big and bruting.

Adam, you could probably do a robot that is similar to Streetbot Willy from Smart Max. It is kind of similar to what you are doing. I could see the round disk you made for the other robots as the head. Well just a random idea. Attachments:

I have seen that around, it's a good one. Mine is pretty tiny. Only about 14 inches/35cm? With the Steam engine on it, you might fit 6 to 10 minis in it.

Thank you. The gondola will be an open wood box. I'm thinking about 6 inches long (the length of the mid section)and 2.25 wide. With a 2.25 inch width, you will be able to have minis standing side by side. It will have a very simple steam engine with two Wright Flier type props to ether side of the engine. As for a flight stand, I guess I'll try and make a simple pyramid shaped cradle for it to rest on. Something you can easily remove if you want it to land.
So do you guys think there is a future for coal burning rockets? ;D

-Tatterdemalion, It has a bit of a mini Jawa Sandcrawler feel to it. I really need to start building my vehicle tonight. Here is the texture for the "Gas Bag". I put it through Gimp to give it more character.

Hah! Me too actually. ;D I made the all wood version of the dome...then turned it on it's side...and said, "Hey!" So I've been modding bits to make the center section and a passenger cabin using only free kits from Dave Graffam. Mine looks more Girl Genius in nature as it is a dirigible made out of wooden planks. ;D I have been hunting for textures for it and designing it in my head. Right now it looks like a cross between a Wright flyer, the Good year blimp and a stem train. I'm trying to keep it about a foot in length.

I had a thought for something that would be a great add-on for the inventor's house, but may be a bit of a challenge. An airship which has a deck that could fit on the top balcony. The trick would be to pull off the balloon part, but I am sure you could pull it off Dave and it is definitely not something you have done before. I'm putting together a steam powered dirigible based on the geometry of the telescope building if that would be of help to you. I'm doing it for this month horde.

Maybe if you go all medieval. Have pointy roofs with three cloth sides and more decorative cloth. You could have simple shelving. By that I mean a simple box that looks like shelving with items in it. Put three of these box shelves in each stall and a rug/mat on the floor. Attachments:

Why are the evil ones so hot. I'll wait for the second set and get them both. So are the vehicles you are thinking about similar to the black & white Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon ones?
